I actually watched it recently as well. I laughed. At how bad it was. Mud wrestling? Really? Could go on about how women in general are portrayed in this movie but yeah, glad you enjoyed the tits :P
@benthediceman1 If you look at the great comedies, like Bringing up Baby, Dr. Strangelove, The In-laws...any of them, really...no one really does anything realistic. To be frank, if Katherine Hepburn had stolen my clothes and told everyone I was suffering from a nervous breakdown, I'd have choked her like a chicken and hailed a cab...
@masercot Didn't really enjoy any of those. I hate movies where the comedy is either embarrassment or something totally pointless. I mean, comedy from any situation is fine, but why steal the Winabaygo? If they'd gone camping in it or travelling I could understand, but they stayed in the hotel. So all they did was bring it with them to further the plot for no reason when someone else could've watched it and they fucked off the Germany and back.
@benthediceman1 Richie doesn't count, as entertaining as he is. If he did, we'd have to include Tarantino. Odd that you can suspend belief for horror or sci-fi, but not comedy. Ever see the Marx Brothers?
@masercot I am quite hard on all movies I see. I mean, I count Freddy Vs. Jason as a comedy because it's more of a parody of itself which amuses me. Things like Serenity, with very few inconsistencies are good. Really older comedies are ruined by the fact everything else either copied it or did it better already, which I saw first. Spy Hard is ok I guess.
Frankly, I'm not sure older comedies is the best thing for Phil's largely younger viewer base if the idea is for them to actually enjoy the films. Comedies become much more dated that other types of films. I'll use Blazing Saddles as an example. Some consider it the one of the greatest comedies of all time. I laughed maybe twice. And don't even get me started on the frickin' Marx Brothers.

Wow! A comedy that is unrealistic? This must be the first comedy you've seen...

@masercot It was unrealistic in ways that just bugged me. Simply wasn't in the mood.

@benthediceman1 Well, rather than say, "You don't like comedy, then", I'll ask,
What comedies DID you like?
masercot 7 months ago
@masercot Despicable Me, Clue. Do Guy Richie films count? I mostly prefer sci-fi or horror. Or stand up.

@PJsCreed Or The Three Stooges for that matter.

@PJsCreed I quite agree. As much as I can enjoy some older comedies, this was really not one of them.
