This Ryu theme is way better then crapy theme off of Marvel vs Capcom 3. This is a much better homage to Ryu. This one sounds polished and clean to the orignal Ryu's theme, unlike Marvel vs. Capcom's version where that version sounds all over the place.

It's not the sound that's the problem, but rather the composer who doesn't know how to breathe life into these 15 year old songs. Okugawa did something similar when he worked on 3S and that turned out great and Tekken's been doing it since 3.

Now I'm ignorant so enlighten me. I tried this game once on a friend's Wii and didn't hear this. Is this the original Japanese soundtrack (like the intro) for a stage theme, or was this scrapped altogether on all versions due to failure of getting the license? Was the rest of the soundtrack different (i.e. stage select, etc.)?

I have not tested this game out.

But i believe you can change the music in the settings menu.

Like in SSF4, you can turn the music to Arranged against your opponent.

So it's not the theme of the stage, but your opponents theme.

There are two types of rivalry. Friendly rivalary and arch rivalry. Friendly rivalry is even though you're trying to out do the person in the compettive sense you're still friends(Ryu and Ken). Arch rivalry is pretty much the same thing only instead competing with a friend, you're competing with your enemy( Ryu and Akuma).
