Yes, but they are still a person! What it seems like is that you would prefer that an Amiga stay with ECS grapics, motorola 68000, 1mb ram etc... they were shit mate. By todays standards, they were shit. I'm not saying the PC is good, but there are now lots and lots of things that you can do better on a PC due to the Amiga's limited hardware, and that is shit. Hurrah for brain transplants!
Not at all. What I was saying is that the Amiga 4000 is no longer "classic hardware" as claimed by the video. It's NEW hardware.
- It's equivalent to if I took my Quadra Mac, ripped out the 68040, and installed a PPC to run OS X. That's no longer "classic" hardware is it? No. Now it's a PowerMac.
As much as I want Amiga to suceed, OS 4 wasn't intended to run on classic Amiga's as well as there is no new software or games being developed so why even bother?
I installed OS 3.9 but never use it.
When it boils down to all, I just whip out WinUAE and an .ADF disk and there you go.
There is NO market for 4.0 and the ass's in charge made it worse by limiting it's hardware as well. I'm going to go play populous now, on my IBM with WinUAE.
It doesn't run as well as on a real amiga. Slow boot ups, jerky mouse. Come on, you dont even get a cool disk drive noise anymore, and the monitors don't smooth the graphics like the old philips cm8833 mkII
SAM440 board is a load of bullshit, overpriced and extremely underpowered RUBBISH!
An Amiga - accelerator card IS still an Amiga....it's the custom chips that make it an Amiga not the CPU. Either AGA or OCS it is STILL an Amiga LOL.
Is a PC not a PC when you replace your P3 motherboard with Core2Duo? Exactly!

IHMO is your Amiga 4000 had a CPU upgrade
then it's not the same hardware
- just as a person with a brain transplant is no longer the same person.

I Run an A4000 060 at 2.5ghz speed with 6 gigs of ram.
definately faster than a real Amiga
You can emulate the disk drive click. SO nice, brings back memories with my A500 and It Came from the Desert.
Mouse is smooth as my wife's pussy. Just not as greasy.
I kinda miss my monitor but I like my 42" Flat Screen better. Where can you run an original Amiga at 1920x1080 with no artifacts or slow downs?
