I don't understand why Lipton invites mediocre actors, like Michelle or Tom Cruise, to be celebrated. People want to project what they believe to be true about a person because he/she is physically attractive. Michelle and Tom aren't believable in their role playing. It's uncomfortable watching them; whereas, Meryl Streep and Sean Penn become the character and you get caught up in the story. Michelle and Tom slide by with their looks.

If you want to see a truly beautiful woman who can act, watch Julia Ormond. The fact she was hand picked to re-make Audrey Hepburn's "Sabrina" sums what I'm saying quite nicely. Yes, Meryl Streep is and always will be the Holy Grail of acting, no one denies that, but Michelle Pfeiffer is also one of the greatest living American actresses! Just watch "What Lies Beneath", "Batman Returns" or "Love Field" and you will instantly change your mind about her, guaranteed! As for Tom Cruise, he is kinda mediocre, though I loved him in "Vanilla Sky".

i remember the first time i knew that i loved this actress was when i watched Dangerous Liaisons on HBO..i just thought how amazing this woman was..how she was so generous with her acting but somehow also very guarded and chaste..plus i just loved how her and John came off on the screen they were just both magic..
