dude monitors dont need a HDMI they have a HDMI to DVI which means that you can put that screen to work to 720p. thats what i did with my 225bw samsung screen i play my ps3 with HDMI to DVi connector...
@excelx213 I know it's been 7 months since you posted here but mine started flashing like a strobe when I turn it on and I had mine for almost 3 yrs. I did a little research and it is the caps on the power conversion board gone bad. they are fairly easy to replace. Just got the caps today and will replace tomorrow.
@excelx213 It is very easy, I am also a rookie.The hardest part was breaking down the monitor, which really isn't that hard. once you get inside the monitor, look at the caps,if any of the caps have a rounded top they are bad. The process is fairly simple. it took me maybe 15 mins to get into the workings and about 5 mins to replace the caps. I got my caps from a local electronic repair shop.

I have this monitor but I am disappointed after a year and a few months it got ghosting problem whenever the RTA is on

mine died after 2 and a half years of continue use... =/ it now flickers every time i turn it on... im going to buy asus monitor next time
