@ShrinkThisWorld It might be blurry because of a setting in the setup. Look for a slider that says sharpness, and adjust that until it becomes unblurry. The other problem might be caused by an incompatible format. See if you can change the output format to a file that your editing software can read. Also, make sure if you're in the US you're using NTSC. If you're in Europe and places like that use PAL.
UPDATE: Hey, guys! I will have Part 2 of this series finished and uploaded by the end of this week. And after that Parts 3 and 4 won't be far off. Sorry for taking so long, but these past few weeks have been really really busy. Thanks for your support!
@KineticMKWii Possibly. The laptop must meet the minimum requirements listed for the capture card. They're typically found on the capture cards website or product page.
@FalconMuncher9000 It should. But I am not sure. If S-video just retains a bit better quality than the rca video, then it should work. If it doesn't though, you might want to try just a yellow RCA video out to the capture card.
@Vdeogamer, I haven't bought a capture card, and I want to be a youtube commentator, so I looked at your videos. It helped alot. In my videos I want to have a chat with a friend, and if the audience desires, turn off the chat with my friend and listen to the conversation I had during the game. So i'm wondering if the capture card would record my voice. My headset connects through USB. If we can get in touch to figure this out it would be greatly appreciated
@kiddice70 I'm glad I could help! At this particular moment I am unsure of whether or not a capture card can record voice from a headset. I'm looking into it, but I will let you know as soon as I find out, perhaps in the next tutorial of this series! : ) Might take a while, but I'll do my best.
I'm not quite sure, but I never thought about that! Could you explain to me how the headset plugs in and how you're running your setup to the computer? It might be able to, but I'm just not sure.
@theganonbros Well a splitter would be good if you wanted to use a secondary monitor that didn't have the output sockets like I showed above. If you used a splitter in your setup, you'd run one output from the splitter to the capture card, and 1 output from the splitter to the TV.
@Vdeogamer Just wondering but does this work on a windows vista computer? because when i plug the capture card in, im pretty sure i got the same one you have, it just crashes my computer giving me the blue screen.
@vvittydit Well I first tried mine on Vista. I've heard of people getting blue screens but I'm not sure what causes it. It could be because your computer does not meet enough of the requirements to run the card. I would check with the book again and check your computer to see if you do or don't.
@Vdeogamer Well I seem to have most of the requirements that I'm positive of as I run DirectX 10, usb2.0, and have more than enough RAM and HardDrive space. The only thing that I am not sure of is having Inter Pentium4 1.4G CPU, what I think I have is Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz. Sorry if what I said my computers specs are off, not so good with that kind of stuff.
@vvittydit Well it should be working all right then. My guess is that you're version of windows vista is missing some important media drivers. Check to make sure your computer is fully up to date. Other than that though, I'd search online a bit to see if anybody else had this problem and if they were able to resolve it.
@FalconMuncher9000 If it's set up with the wii going directly into the capture card, then you have to look at the computer. But if you set it up with a secondary monitor with the wii going into the tv, and then the tv going into the capture card as I displayed before, then it will show up on both the tv and the computer. The tv doesn't lag as much as the computer though.
@LILBUMBL3 Next week and the weeks after. I've had quite a dry spell. But the drawing videos take me a LOT longer to make than anything else on my channel, and I want to make sure that each one is epic! Thanks for your support! : )
@chalmersdog No that was just the nintendo channel. I asked for one of two games for Christmas, Skyward Sword OR Kirby's Return to Dreamland (I'm a big kirby fan as well) and I got Kirby. So I'll probably go out and get Skyward sword sometime next year.
@Vdeogamer ya its a great game. ive played lots of zelda, and this is one of the best games ive ever played. ive even gone as far as to say its a bit better than even ocarina of time. id definitely try to get it as soon as possible :)
