She also recounts being subject to racism as a child, being called a "paki" by young school mates. Her ethnicity is a huge factor in her art as she clearly states her trips to Pakistan gave her inspiration, and let her experience new things.
Her ethnicity, according to one of the various definitions provided is Punjabi or another middle Easter tribe that is currently under Pakistani rule. She is half welsh, or Scottish, or Irish.. I never said she is 100% Pakistani, I was merely correcting the individual who called the other individual and idiot for asking which tribe she was from... She clearly says she travelled to Pakistan to get in touch with her roots. Khan is one of the most popular names in Pakist
1. I never said her nationality is Pakistani, I said her blood, her skin her eyes her nose and everything else is half Pakistani, half welsh. How about you do your homework and read the 2 paragraphs I sent to that other idiot. GET YOUR facts straight.
Natasha comes across as really sweet and humble, and her music is simply beautiful! I'm baffled as to why her ethnicity is a topic of such great magnitude on here!
@meinhundistschlecht, Sorry, but just because I think I'm Japanese doesn't make me Japanese, she is blood related to ancestors who lived in Pakistan, she has the genetic signatures of someone who is related or does currently live in Pakistan, so she is Pakistani. Regardless of nationality and ethnicity, according to current international borders the Punjabi and Sindhi are currently under Pakistani rule, which makes her a Punjabi or Sindhi Pakistani, as well as an individual with Welsh ancestry.
not that it matters but she's half pakistani. do your homework. She's half english and I'm sure she was born in england, so her nationality is british. so, unless she got a dual citezenship her nationality is not pakistani. now if you're talking about ethnicity, she would be asian-mixed. And that's the end of the story. you can't judge someone by their ancestors. after all our ancestors are all from africa so we're all the same and we all come from the same place originally.
Natasha Khan has said multiple times that she is Pakistani and English, yes.. she was raised in the UK, but she also visited Pakistan and identifies herself as someone with Pakistani blood and genetic traits. She also has Welsh genetic traits, but she has never said she is strictly English, or strictly Pakistani. I said both in my first reply to you, clearly you took it out of context. Your also incorrect again... i am not Pakistani, at all. I live in a 1st world nation.
@meinhundistschlecht ,Only a German would be offended by such basic conversation. She's of Pakistani and English decent, So your 'ethnicity theory" has no place here. das Arschloch
Wonderfull interview. I came across BFL by accident and sh'e now my favourite solo artist. Pearl's Dream is my favourite, with Sarah running a close 2nd.
Yeah I'd love to sort her out as well but she probably likes Artistic types who have Cocaine addictions and dropped out of art school because it was too commercial .
Yes ! Courage and individuality died after the post punk era which gave rise to endless bands with their own unique energy that made your heart beat faster and your spirit soar. Natasha is a long awaited breath of fresh air.
Shes so adorable and kind. Im jealous of you meeting her ;__;
