  • How do you have the tone, distortion, and level? Im using a Boss DS-1 distortion pedal. This would really help

  • @jessynba4 Umm...I think my distortion was at 4 o'clock and my tone at 12 or 1 o'clock.

The level simply depends on your amp.

  • You should do a tutorial of Michael Jackson's Black or White. Thank you :)

  • yeah italia !! :D

  • where do i put the pedal do i put it in the head phone slot

  • è muito feioooooooo

  • @InsanoW01 ???

    : ]

  • mais é feiiiiiiiiiiiiii coitado

  • @pedrooficina I'm sorry but I can't translate Brazil-speak (is this Portuguese???)

    : ]

  • @BassGuitar01 Yeah man, for sure. It's a really solid pedal.

    : ]

  • @BassGuitar01 BOSS DS-1. It's an awesome pedal!

    : ]

  • that distortion pedal's sounding pretty sweet. good job

  • @BlinkmeRG Thanks!

  • just like G??? xD

  • i dont think youre playing the ending right at least not what jon plays check out the studio version to see what he does it has something to do with low E-string 12th fret (maybe an octave-high Em or something)

: ) but still GREAT job man!

  • @iwishiwasjonforeman yeah I think you're right about that. However, the reason for this is probably so the song doesn't get too muddy w/ the distortion of (at least two) guitars playing low E power chords (I don't think Romie plays the guitar on this song but if he does, that just makes it even more so...). I think Drew may be just playing an open top E string as well. Kinda hard to tell.

  • @akintomeatloaf

But yeah, I think Jon's playing an open E and then the octave E on the same string, 12th fret. Good catch!!! I may have to do some corrections...

  • @akintomeatloaf yeah and also make that not an Em one octave high make it an octave-high E power chord if anything, but i think its:

low E-string: -000-000-12-0- over and over again until the end where both Jon and Drew play regular E power chord (and then some sorta squeals. i dont know if ill ever know how they do that stuff, but it sounds AWESOME)

  • i think youve got the ending wrong... at least thats not what jon plays in the studio version you can see hes doing something with the 12th fret low E string (it might be an octave-high Em chord, im not sure) you should check it our and put up a correction (and maybe an ending correction for the tutorial as well)

: ) but still VERY VERY good man!

  • wow thats really good, im pretty sure thats excatly how they play it. nice job. keep it up!

  • @19shred93 TY so much!

  • lol i had a rough start to my video too dont worry lol...

    : ]

  • can you please , please give me the tab

  • sorry man, I don't have the tab...i did it all by ear.

um...i'm thinkin about making a tutorial, but if you just put "how to play mess of me" in the search bar, the first vid is not a bad tutorial->it's not how i play it, but it's fairly close.

    thx4watching!

  • tab is easy, it goes e, 12a, 12e, 10a

  • thanks man and good job for figuring it out by ear

  • hey no problemo, man!

  • Excellent cover man! Love the sound you got out of what you had, practically the same as the original! Keep rockin' :D

  • @MrBrawl Thanks a lot!!!

    Really liked your bass cover!

  • If you'd like, you could follow my example on my channel ;) It is quite difficult to pick out his bass bits, but I think I got most of 'em, with a little improv, too :)

  • @freelodinbeaner

    Thanks!

Yeah, i think that it's a little bit harder on the bass...Tim's got a knack for writing little baselines that layer the song...

  • I see..Great Job!

Yeah, I'll try those chords. :D

  • Thanks!!!

  • @TheMrphilsfan456
