  • I miss this place =/

  • I love listening to you troll-couch potatoes chuckle your fat, pimply asses off about how you're better or this guy sucks. Fucking kill yourself already, you no pussy-getting mother fuckers.

  • ball of the foot... ball of the foot...

  • ok so i train in the same style and thats not impressive at all all 3rd dan black belt are required to break 3 boards in the air using whatever move they have picked up over the years as long as it tae kwan do i am 3rd dan my self although i like landing the last hit with an elbow hit better

  • Today I had to do a mult-break of 4 boards and I was somewhat proud of myself for my Red Belt, and now seeing this and other videos of Taekwondo Martial Artist breaking their boards..... makes me feel like a Grasshopper still! =(

  • stop talking!!!!

the first two kick were really easy......oligol dolyo tiodra i think.......

good job on the last one.....but please stop talking....

  • so cool!!!!!!!

  • never use inch boards for demonstrations. only use half.

  • @ImAddictedToTKD agreed dude if u do 1inch thick boards youll break something

  • @AlfredDaSauce demos are supose to look good....But at my school the demo team is 10 and under so we use half

  • too bad boards never hit back...LAME!!!

  • boards don't fight back.

    hehehehehe.:D

  • your holders are very slow so you are at the time you did the breaking everybody was sleeping. GIVE ME A BREAK

  • just a comment... tae kwon do is disipline... sorry if i get a mistake on the words... and you can't be talking when you are breaking the boards... well is just what i learned in my tae kwon do class.... thnks

  • @BetoChavolla Yeah Taekwondo teaches a lot more then just punching im a 1st degree black belt what belt are you?

  • I practice ata as well. Good job on your breaks, especially the last one. that takes dedication to accomplish

  • i bet them mised breaks HURT!!

  • This is a reason i didn't get my next level in black belt TT-TT

  • That last break is fantastic.

It takes stones to add a technique

    to a split kick!

  • nice

  • dam it took him 6-7 years to do this??? its easy to break one Bord. double up the Bord's and then you got my respect!

  • dude he broke 3 boards in mid air

  • im not saying its not good. but for 6-7 years i expect more from the time he put in. but better then what most ppl could do.

  • the red belt guy @ 0:53 is not holding the board right!!!! the kicker was actually doing good!

  • hmmm.... i've done better

  • you suck ima brown belt and i am waaay better than you

  • you cant say your better then him if you dont practice the same style as he does

and btw, breaking has nothing to do with have a brown belt or a black belt, its something people specialize in. i have met many lower belts than me that can kick my ass in a board breaking competition

  • that's not how a black belt would act in suck a way. I think you should not have your belt if i was your instructor and heard/read that from you.

  • That was really good...well done. For all those critical people, I'd like to see them post themselves doing the same break. Breaking builds strength, accuracy and technique. The boards break along the grain, thus the straight line break. The only time I've broken boards and they didn't break in a straight line was when I was hitting only one or two boards in a fixture with a relatively large hitting surface (e.g. side kick, hammer fist) and the boards shattered into about four parts each.

  • "boards, dont hit back."

    'Bruce Lee to O'hara'

  • Fuck is this a human? xD

  • umm yeah sorry... i dont get breaking boards... i mean that was pretty impressive... if your breaking boards... maybe you should be a carpenter because that would never translate to a street fight or any other fight... maybe those punches thats it

  • The reason that you break boards in any martial art is to build power by simulating bone breaking. You can't sacrifice humans and practice on them, so you break boards.

  • what a ninja

  • at 3:09 sounded like a monster!

  • How come when the boards break they break with a COMPLETELY straight line down the center.....?

  • they are break boards. used in martial arts. the are available in differnet strengths. they can be put back together to be used again

  • The boards choosen normally have the grain going down the center, when they break, they break along the grain. There are times when the break will be along one side or the other, but it's always in a line.

If boards were choosen that had an over view of the grain, it would break in any number of ways, including having pieces break off; which most consider not a full break.

  • wow lots of people criticize you... I wonder if they talk, so much shit Y dont they prove that they're better. I myself do Karate and i think that was pretty nice! But remember breaking boards are for shows, the real part is when you go on the street!

  • You would have had the last one but your holder moved on you at 1:04

  • u landed a 360 hook but not a tornado? O_o nice yelling =D

  • Boards dont hit back" and at least you gotta break another 10 000 or so of boards so that you may impress the large comunity of martial artists around the globe.

i thought i was finding something interesting to watch.

  • theres a lot of stuff like this and much better on youtube (response to description)

  • WOW!

  • the measuring is really to make sure you don't miss the board. if your fighting someone, doesn't matter where you hit as long as you hit them. bt no one wants to hit the person holding the board.

  • haha these haters,,, ur the one that pathetic if u think board breaking kicks are used in real life they are jus for show,, and ur video respnse, theres heaps of videos like this 0.0

  • you sure took ur f**** time... in a real life situation...you dont tell your opponent to stand still and measure his position u tool. pathetic

  • well unless u have some kind of proof that you can do better the only thing pathetic is you. its a demonstration pull your head out of your ass

  • Not just better. A lot better. Also probably so much better that you will dig a hole and hide yourself from this world MR ugly.

  • then why dont you post a demo vid, so we can see how awesome you are

  • board breaks are for show dipshit. this was probably at a testing. i doubt you know the first thing about martial arts dumbass.

  • your an idiot.

  • on the first few breaks the senior red belt gets scared and moves back thats what made u not be able to break it the first time and nice landing after the 3 board break and what is that at the end a number 2 or 3 jump front kick

  • wow very nice, that isn't easy. haha the holder in the first part kept backing off, that's why it wouldnt break

  • Awesomeness!!!

  • I was there on this very day too =)

  • That was very good.

    Well done.

  • i know nothing about kung fu exept i love all the different types and the movies about them and thats awesomly impressive keep up the good work

  • Only mild impressiveness.

  • someday I'll learn to do that. It looks hard, but my instructor might be able to do that.

  • Well I think it´s great.

    It was a great performance.

    5/5

And I think I`m going to subscribe...

  • I am a black belt in Heaven Fist 10k (a branch of Kung Fu) as well as a black belt in Chin Na, and have been trained in Qi Gong. I respect your break. Its not easy reguardless of what the rest of these retards say

  • I know nothing about TKD...I dont care...I have been training for 8 years in Heaven Fist 10k which is a branch of Kung Fu and am only a 1st Degree black belt (we dont really bother with belts very often...were a chinese arts oriented school...not some american sport school). Reguardless of what all the rest of these people have been saying about it being easy and such...I dissagree. I break boards. A break like that is not easy. I respect you for it.

  • the 3 kick thing is called a "scissor kick"

  • ....dude.... scissor kicks are used for groundfighting. That is no way a scissorkick.

  • Um, actually the Twist kick + Side kick combination is called a scissor kick.... And Ive never heard of a scissorkick used for ground fighting.......

BTW, nice breaks! Your last beak was picture perfect!

  • ...scissor kicks are used to bring your opponent down while you are on the ground

  • no i realy think its a sciccer kick

  • well its not

  • stfu

  • dude just get a life. i have 870 subs and you have 3.

    its not a scissor kick

  • I'm with ITF/USTF TKD and I have a quick question:

Are those quarter inch or one inch boards? I can't tell.

It makes a big difference in the difficulty of the breaks.

  • i think they are about 2 to 3 inches thick. I go to the same Taekwondo center.

  • Im sorry man but i go to the same taekwondo center and no they are not 2-3 inches thick

they are about 1 1/2 cm thick haha

  • was that kick that you didn't break with right away a butterfly roundhouse?! whoa that must have hurt!!

  • wow that was awesome

  • thats not a very hard kick. still he was good and all but, there was no need for the !!! in the title

  • eh...stop being a wannabe. Very hard kick, bet you couldn't do squat.

  • i am very much better than him lol, hes good but im better, dont care what u say <--------- 3rd degree blackbelt in TKD

  • he is a 3rd degree as well.

  • you need to show us and youtube what you got because you sound like a wannabe.

  • 2nd that emotion

  • rudyork your a wanna be. Your typing behing a screen if its right why are you mad at this guy who say your a wanna be because you prove it right know you are one.

  • nice

  • I'm 14, and I'm a red belt. I haven't done TKD for 8 months or so because I had a Bar Mitzvah and a new school. How long do you think would be appropriate for me to to prepare for the Black Belt Test?

  • I'm a green belt so I can't tell you how long you should be practicing, but from what I have learned it takes longer to prepare for belts in the blue to black zone from about 4 to 6 or 7 months, but I'm not sure

  • It depends on how slack your instructor is. Very few of our red belts achieve black in less than a year. Red Belt to Black Belt training is and should be some of the most intense you ever endure, because that's what makes the difference between a student and an instructor.

  • I was wrong to say you were a wannabe and i apologize for that. I just thought you were some poser or something so nvm

  • the guy in this video is listed on sherdog as well.

  • And I'm sure his board breaking abilities came into play, huh? My original and only point of this was that board breaking has absolutely nothing to do with fighting. Did that take a lot of skill and discipline? Yes. But it has nothing to do with fighting. And why is it unusual to be on Youtube? I'm an internet nerd like 85% of the population.

  • I'm just saying its kind of unusual that a professional mma fighter would go on youtube.

  • sloppy technique

  • There's actually a lot on youtube like this. That last break was really good though. Have you ever tried to do a jackknife break?

  • LOL that was funny when he couldnt break the 5th wood with 3 tries in the beginning hahaha

  • if you watch closly you will see the board holder move the board away before he hits it. if held still the first time he probably would have got it straight away.

  • thats taekwondo, nuf' said.

  • Excellent break Sir. I am still working on that one. Who knows maybe I will have it down before my 2nd Dan test.

  • dude that was awesome who was that? your dad?

  • amazing, just amazing

  • Good athleticism! People watch these videos and talk about fighting. IT's not about fighting, it's about control, power, concentration and dealing with pressure. It is obvious that you are a good martial artist regardless on style. Any fighter I know would appreciate this. Only fake fighters say it's not good. I do have to say I can't believe the tornado gave you so much trouble.

  • I agree. some people say "oh, that would never work on the street" because they are jealous. I wish I could do that! (actually, I do know most of those techniques. but being able to break with them is a different matter;). This guy is cool! My sabunim would never let me break with a tornado kick. I'm just a blue belt, though. do you take martial arts? Isn't the feeling just after a difficult break just soooo wonderful! (shoot, now I want to break)

  • ...i was looking for 3 kicks in the air in one jump....

  • Cant you see idiot that is 3 kicks in 1 jump

  • thats what u got

  • o_O

    i am in awe....

  • wow, amasing kick combo there:D

  • Nice friggin kick... Vid could have been better if you'd cut out some of the board adjustment time...

  • NICE JOB!

  • That took you how long?

You spent six years on that?

  • scissor kick front kick nice

  • Wow...I just made my first few breaks today! Its an awsome feeling. I cant wait to try something crazy like that.

    Great Job!

  • The last break - twist kick, side kick, and front kick all in one jump is Donnie Yen's signature move.

  • very impressive.

  • Great breaking! I thought you might enjoy the video I made of my students breaking...

  • awesome technique dude...what art is this and how long have u been training in it?

  • This is Taekwondo, i've been training for 16 years.

  • pretty impressive, i've been in soo bahk do (tang soo do) for eight

  • Holy ****! i dont know how it is possible but i belive it!#@!

  • The last 3-kick was awesome! Rei!!

  • The last kick was cool. I like doing scissors kick board breaks. Next weekend I test for my Third Degree and will be doing the scissors kick sidekick jumping combo for my board break. Check out my current scissors kick. The new one will be on shortly.

  • and one more thing I never hit with my instep or snap my kicks but in forms sparring is follow thru and it requires shin guards to be worn because it is it with the ball or hell or shin instep is for padwork and other soft objects but kicking bone with it is just stupidity

  • Well then, that's not traditional TKD- it's a variation of it. Everything evolves. Technology, cars, airplanes- everything gets better as time goes by. But not traditional martial arts. They are expected to be taught and learned the exact same way they were hundreds of years ago when they were invented and nobody knew what really worked.

  • Now that I can agree with everything evolves like dana white said boxing is my grandpas sport wrestling was good high school record was unscathed but I know traditonal tkd is ridiculous but you compete using only one of your tools it is very difficult to do which is why it is an art

  • not like fighting which is using more of your martial tools grappling strikes etc, It is not like I could use my grappling I learned in the marines and apply it in one of my pro bouts now could I I cant stomp the throat or jab a finger in the eyes so technically it is also not true martial arts

  • I disagree. While whatever you learned in the Marines may not be a true traditional martial art, it is used by the marines because it has been proven affective. "Martial" art actually means "warrior" art. So it may not be as pretty as some, but I believe those brutal military techniques have their place in the martial arts.

  • U all can hate and discuss but I was there and it was Bade Ace and guess what those boards are insane they aren't that sandlewood 1/4 inch pine most of y'all break those things will mess you up YOU DONT EVEN KNOW

  • Amazing job on the final three, dude. Keep it up. xD

  • Like I said before, I'm no martial artist yet, but I plan to take Aikido and Ba-Gua sometime within the next few years. Anyway, I messed up in the last post... I meant to put "The board will hit you with the same amount of force you *PUT* on it", not *OUT*, and there should be an "I" after "when"... ... Oh, well...we all make mistakes.

    P.S.: (Board) Kickin' video!

  • I'm no martial Artist, but I do break boards just for fun, and when attempt and fail, man does that hurt, but when I do succeed...it still hurts. "twoplustwo123" is right. The board will hit you with the same amount of force you out on it. I don't care what people say. Boards do hit back, and it is Newton's 3rd law!!

  • So to whoever posted 'actually boards do hit back, according to newtons third law everything has a equal and oposit reaction' you are a moron. Which part of opposite did you not understand? Forward force into the boards generates the same amount of force in the other direction, hence the break.

  • boards DO NOT hit back. go back to school.

  • actually boards do hit back,

according to newtons third law everything has a equal and oposit reaction,

so, the board its you just as hard as you hit it.

  • What does that have to do with fighting?

  • first of all this isn't fighting, and how long have u been doing "MMA". i've done Muay Tai, Karate, Boxing, Wrestling, BJJ, Aikido, Kick Boxing, and of course Taekwondo. So i am pretty well rounded, this is a traditional Martial Art, u are just a fighter.

  • Well, since you asked, I've been fighting since 2001, compiling a 11-1 pro record, 20-2 amateur, 2-0 muay Thai, 1-1 boxing, spending 4 years at Miletich Fighting Systems. Purple belt in no-gi jiu-jitsu, and yes, a black belt in Karate from when I was 16. Absolutely worthless, and it took years to unlearn all the bad habits I learned in Karate.

  • Congrats on everything you've achieved, but weather you want to realize it or not that 16 year old Karate person you once were, has helped QUITE A BIT.

  • Karate Sux any way its all about the hard hitting, in your face action, you Get from TKD i fight MMA as well, and taekwondo has helped alot, you may have jsut had a bad teach but my teacher knows the elements of a real world situation and since he started teaching me I have developed into a better fighter as well

  • Negative. Tae Kwon Do teaches bad mechanics and bad habits. Snapping your kicks and hitting with your instep is about as useless as horse stance. 90 out of 100 times TKD gets beat by boxing, 98 out of 100 by muay Thai, a 100 times out of 100 by wrestling.

  • ONce again you rely on what you see on you tube and TV if an instructor does not understand how to correlate TKD with other Martial arts then of course their students will suck what I have seen of most martial arts nowadays sucks the true meaning of martial arts lies in the students will to train classical TKD is ridiculous dont get me wrong hands down and only kicks is proposturous but needless to say I have gone with MT boxing and wrestling it varies I guess

  • Rely on what I see on tv? I have been in the ring over 30 times in SANCTIONED matches, 12 of those being professional. I'm sure your instructor has won some point matches, whoops up on some dude in the dojo, and has some legendary street fighting stories, but has never truly proved his fighting abilities. Maybe I'm wrong, but give me his name and I'll look up his pro record. Everything else is just hear-say.

  • But any how I have gone against each and it depends on the fighter It is either their day or mine and so far I have seen decent competition but I have never been overran by any of them I think you just see Two much sucky TKD out their but its been working for me and so far record wise I am doing all right so Im going to stick with it every one else can go their own route

  • I agree, it does depend on the fighter. And most fighters do have a background in traditional martial arts. I started in Karate. But no one at this level stay with that art. I have trained at the Miletich camp in Iowa for 4 years, and am currently at Xtreme Couture's in Vegas, and have met dozens of UFC vets and world champions. And there is not a single one of them that will tell a young guy trying to get started to go learn TKD first. Boxing and wrestling is the way to get started.

  • But I know where you are coming from but nevertheless the reason why we break boards in my school is to show the parents that the techniques used can easily break bone not everybody is a bonafide know it all in Martial arts so we demonstrate

  • Well, if this is what you like to do, then have fun doing it. I, myself, love Kung Fu and Kendo. I think both are beautiful arts, and would be fun learning, but realize they have little to do with actual combat. I have no time though, since I just joined the army and leave for boot camp in January. So I guess I'll be learning whatever they teach in Ranger school, huh?

  • Good luck with that and ranger school is bade ace you will learn alot their my cousin is a ranger and is going to be in the green berets as soon as he gets done with some training he is doing now he is A bbj black belt and his instructor has him teaching classes it is an honor he says but yeah traditional bjj is still traditional and my dad intructs it in san diego and it is probably the most strengthened of all classic arts in my perspective

  • And Martial arts nowadays is shit anyway because it is not applied for war as it was back in the feudal days of Japan or Korea, I doubt any one who confided in talking shit about any of the Dojo's would breath for very long, today true Tae kwon do is tampered and tarnished look up so hwarang do if you want to see its progenitor which our school is more related too

  • you are clueless rudydork. whoops i mean bork.

  • Hey Rhinostampede, talking shit? Don't make me bust out the overhand ridgehand strike from the horsestance... the last sound you'll ever hear is KIA!!!!!!!

  • you are just a wannabe. Go back to yoga.

  • Wannabe? Yeah, I wannabe inside of Jessica Alba. But other than that, I'm the former Extreme Challenge welterweight champ, sparring partner to multiple world champions at Miletich Fighting Systems, former assistant instructor at Iowa State University, gone 2-0 in muay Thai matches here in Vegas, and listed on Sherdog as an 11-1 pro... what have you done besides come on the internet and talked tough? Go watch some of my fights-- critique them- I wanna hear some more of your knowledge. KIA!!!!

  • type in planecrash111 wikipedia on google you will find my record.

  • So you're a kickboxer, huh? Well, I've been in the ring over 30 times pro and amateur, and respect anyone who's had the balls to climb in that ring. But you wanna come on here, disrespect me, and call me a wannabe? I've poured my heart into fighting for the last 9 years, and left everything I love to move to Vegas to become the best fighter I can be. I've been beat up by more world champion fighters than anyone I know, and keep coming. I'm a wannabe? Do I have to KIA when I ankle lock you?

  • i just said it was unusual to see a professional fighter on youtube. I thought they would be too busy with their career, but I was wrong. I apologize.

  • wow

  • oooooo! that was amazing you have to see the end of tis film

  • boards.....do not hit back

  • That was way too damn cool.
