  • always nice to have a car that's been in the same family since new. even better that it's an untouched original car. good luck with it and hope to see more vids of it.

  • Lucky wish i could be tha new owner

  • i'm surprised that all of the glass is still there

  • thats pretty cool..ever hear of centralia p.a?...the town that has a mine fire burning since 1962..well anyway ,,there is a twin to this car that was in a garage in centralia for decades...it was just pulled and and sent to a friend of mine to get it up and running again ...cool car you have man

  • Why was it there for 54 years? Is the house unoccupied for a long time?

  • @AeroPolice When the Great Grandpa died, his children put it in the garage and didn't check for antifreeze. It was full of water and cracked the block. By that time they had other cars to use, and no one in the family wanted to do anything with it so it just sat. He is the first family member that is a mechanic and really wanted to do something with it. So it now has a '61 235 engine in it. We have some videos now of it driving and I'll try to post them soon.

  • What a beautiful car! Thanks for sharing! I love Fleetlines!! Is it going to be restored? or left as is?

  • @twocanplayatthat For now he is going to keep it as original as possible and just get it running, safe and driveable. I think the plan is to restore it, and then down the line maybe customize it a little.

  • @kshrum78 Cool! Sounds as though he will look after it and love it! It's a lovely car!

  • Grandpa would be proud !!!

  • 1948 Chevy Fleetline Aerosedan - 54 years in a garage in Hannibal, MO.
