  • Good but far too fast. 25% slower and it would have been a masterpiece.

  • @Simonect92: Exactly my point. Soul is what I personally feel amiss in this performance. Somehow my impression is that she is trying to show off her acrobatic skill. I might be wrong, but it was a turn-down to me...

  • oh please... it is music... not the Olympic Games...

  • @IzumiJK i prefer music.. On music you can hear your soul (if you have one), while Olympic games are only made to entertain!

  • Well played, but for Beethoven, there should be more contrast.

  • Sounds more like Liszt than Beethoven.

  • i agree with 'wagneristhebest' - congratulations to Alice Ott for her excelent technique and solide musicianship, but please! be loyal to your talent - go and learn a lot more about the depths of music before you become another pin-up girl of classic! or is the big money already your master? a performance not much more average than of a talented music student...

  • What a wonderful technique! And an enlightening presence! But there is a lack of magic here, a lack of musical ingenuity. A lack of the ability to turn my head and say 'wow I've never heard the Waldstein in that way.' I could listen to this performance and forget it, never moved like the way Barenboim plays it. A very average performance.

  • very, very good!!!!

  • nicely played <3

  • waldstein and appassionata in the same recital?!

  • Very sensitive playing.

  • She has virtuosity and all. But where is the right interpretation for Beethoven's music ? Her Waldstein Sonata sounds like Liszt or Chopin to me.

  • @TofuUnion Really? Care to explain?

  • @TofuUnion I actually don't think it's like Liszt or Chopin. She did emphasize the virtuosic part of it, but I don't think it's too romantic

  • @kmpiano1 Another case of similar (romantic) Waldstein interpretation is Horowitz.

I prefer more Pollini or Gulda one. But,it's just about the question of your taste.

  • I really like Alice so much! With youtube videos sometimes its so hard to really hear the nuance. But I am alway curious to compare when possible Aimi to others. I found it interesting t listen to 4:40 through 5:15 here, to (utube vid) "AADGT Aimi plays the Waldstein 1st Movement" from Aimi Kobayashi. I find Aimi a real prodigy and this small part showcases why to my ears. looking forward to an adult Aimi.

  • @gedugat auf recht hohem niveau? alice sara ott spielt weltklasse.

Nazareno

  • too amazing.

  • great!

  • great!

  • what a wonderful interpretation!

  • I just want to know what kind of guy can date her.

  • @cricketjam No kidding. Let me know when you find out!

  • Why not repeat the exposition? This movement feels unbalanced without it... :(

  • Ungalublich tolle Frau!

  • 若她可以再多給曲子自己發揮的空間,

    {有些小節被濃縮、壓抑了}

    我會更加喜歡她這個演出^^

  • great!

  • lindo! beauty
