Here is what you all need to understand what the video is attempting to send to you. When defining an artist(any kind) it all comes to innovation, creativity, passion, and drive. Christina has all of these points taking control of her career and music. She cowrites almost everything she is on and always takes creative direction with her albums. Does this mean she is a good vocalist? No. Beyonce however takes claim for things she had no part in making. Does this make her a bad singer? no.
@indie140 Singing great alone doesn't throw away other factors. Chrissie Hynde isn't as great of a singer as Beyonce, but creatively and artistically, she destroys Beyonce.

My point is tone is a matter of personal opinion. Technique isn't. From a technical viewpoint Beyonce kicks Christina to the kerb. Whether Christina has a nicer timbre boils down to a person's opinion.
So if you think Christina's better, that's your opinion and I accept that.
I think Beyonce is the better technician and has a nicer tone. But that's my opinion. I'm not going to force you to think the same.

You're forgetting songwriting, composition, production, arrangement, all of which Beyonce and Christina are not good in, but Christina shines miles ahead in any work such as that than Beyonce.

Vanessa Amorosi may not be better than Janis Joplin artistry-wise, but she has way better technique.
I also think that, If Christina doesn't open her eyes and see the damage she is doing to he vocal chords and take proper lessons, she's not going to have that beautiful voice for much longer. Janis is a great artist, but her singing is painful to me. But I'm not going to try and stop her because that's her thing.
@indie140 Christina has been attending formal lessons under Seth Riggs for a few months now and her technique definitely has improved. Though her bad habits come back time to time she has demonstrated better breath support and has on occasion maintained a neutral larynx when hitting her highest notes. Its a slow process but the results are coming in very strong.

At least with Christina she had lead the production of her music videos ("Beautiful") and songs, and did them properly. Christina doesn't even SING those notes, and her range is anything but connected. Lows are weak, belting is strained and head is disconnected.
Christina has a loud voice and hits notes. Full stop. Her real vocal range nowadays spans a lil more than 1 octave.

There's a difference in writing in the conscious and unconscious mind. Staying power can also be measured. For example Celine Dion didn't really write her biggest songs, and I know she doesn't have the best technique, but her music has more staying power. She has more than Beyonce and Christina.
Here is what you all need to understand what the video is attempting to send to you. When defining an artist(any kind) it all comes to innovation, creativity, passion, and drive. Christina has all of these points taking control of her career and music. She cowrites almost everything she is on and always takes creative direction with her albums. Does this mean she is a good vocalist? No. Beyonce however takes claim for things she had no part in making. Does this make her a bad singer? no.

Vanessa Amorosi may not be better than Janis Joplin artistry-wise, but she has way better technique.
I also think that, If Christina doesn't open her eyes and see the damage she is doing to he vocal chords and take proper lessons, she's not going to have that beautiful voice for much longer. Janis is a great artist, but her singing is painful to me. But I'm not going to try and stop her because that's her thing.

@indie140 Christina has been attending formal lessons under Seth Riggs for a few months now and her technique definitely has improved. Though her bad habits come back time to time she has demonstrated better breath support and has on occasion maintained a neutral larynx when hitting her highest notes. Its a slow process but the results are coming in very strong.

Vocally Beyonce is a better artist than Christina, because she's vocally disciplined. Bey is also a great live performer, but that's it for Bey. Christina? Well hopefully she get vocal training, she still got that lovely tone. She's a songwriter, good performer and an MV director. I prefer Christina. But you can't really compare these 2 different artists. Real artists are James Brown, Prince, Michael Jackson and Tina Turner.

The video seems very biased, but i see your point. Beyonce needs to give more credit to the people shes borrowing from and stop claiming that she writes her songs. Stealing songwriting credits is objectively worse because it is illegal (I reply to your question). However my comment was about artistry. @ablackguy123456789 Yes child. Vocal range involves all the notes you can sing in all the vowels, with actual ease and resonance and with control of the dynamics. Christina doesn't even SING those notes, and her range is anything but connected. Lows are weak, belting is strained and head is disconnected.
Christina has a loud voice and hits notes. Full stop. Her real vocal range nowadays spans a lil more than 1 octave.

There's a difference in writing in the conscious and unconscious mind. Staying power can also be measured. For example Celine Dion didn't really write her biggest songs, and I know she doesn't have the best technique, but her music has more staying power. She has more than Beyonce and Christina.
