  • In this vlog I spoke in a more 'throaty', deep resonating voice to sound more confident and self-established. Actually I was hiding the fear/insecurity of being inferior if I spoke the way I usually do, which at the time I believed to be 'weak' and 'un-authoritative'. I did not like my voice and changed it for this vlog. Just to be self-honest

That's my whole point of vlogging

  • @KasperKwan 'My point' not from the perspective of possession - "It's MINE!"

"My" from the starting-point of "it's not THE (only) point of vlogging, but I started vlogging to be more self-honest, therefore it is my reason for vlogging, but not everyone's reason for vlogging "

To keep myself from being ambiguous

  • thankyou Kasper

  • Thanks 4 sharing Kasper - perhaps u were having difficulty speaking about arrogance b/c u haven a hidden point of arrogance that ur not allowing urself to see. When u said that due to not wanting to be arrogant u actually...& then u paused & said u forgot what u were going to say - which may have been that u became arrogant out of ur resistance to arrogance.

Relying on outside praise can inform arrogance - praise which u didn't want to admit 4 urself b/c that was seen as 'bad'

    my perspective.

  • @LLCraver (forgotten point) I began to fear the future-projection of me being arrogant - as I never allowed and accepted myself to abuse others, to the extent of how aware I was at the time. Looking at myself from another perspective, I forgot because I was attempting to 're-live' a past moment I wrote about, instead of expressing myself unconditionally. Thank you for caring enough to share your perspective

Second point: thank you for sharing, this opened up a point I didn't consider in myself

  • @LLCraver Point I suppressed: I placed myself in a 'know-it-all' position, so instead of considering what other people said to me, I thought "I know myself better than anyone" and stuck to my self-defeating opinions of myself. Unlike the common example of arrogance, where people insist on being the best - I insisted on myself being the worst lol

The main point to consider in arrogance seems to be placing myself in a 'know-it-all' position, thinking I know all about myself already. Nope

  • @KasperKwan cool kasper - i have had similar points 4 myself as well.

lol - the 'i know myself better than anyone' can be quite the fuck-up b/c we hide from ourselves so extensively that phrase becomes an excuse to remain in our limited ideas of ourselves - we definitely don't know ourselves yet, we never have, so when that point comes up, it's a red flag to know we are being dishonest, which u have already pinpointed.

yup - insisting on being the 'worst' is merely another form of arrogance.

  • Thank you for sharing this point. I am also facing it and you brought up something that i have not considered.

  • Cool Kasper, trusting yourself is important in order to direct yourself effectively towards what is best for all.
