Actually, not all his grandparents are Welsh. One of them is from Sierra Leone, which I guess means he could have played for them if he'd wanted. But there's no way he would have ever played for England.
Anyway, little known fact about Ryan Giggs, he's mixed race.

He could of played for Either, he had lived in England long enough to be able to pick England, where you are born does not always matter, hence why Vieira plays for France when really he was born in Senegal, Patrice Evra is also from Sengal but plays for France, Owen Hargreaves is Canadian/German but plays for England. Almunia of Arsenal is Spanish, but can now play for England if he wanted,

It does not work like that for the home nations he has no English blood so he could not have played for them. Vieira and Evra can play for France because they have French passports Hargreaves could play for Canada because he was born there as giggs has no English blood nor was he born in England he could not play for them he can only play for Wales

@xBuster123, Ryan's mum was from pentrebane, a district in West Cardiff, which is the capital city of Wales, she was 100% Welsh. His dad, Danny Wilson a rugby player, was born by a Welsh mother and a Sierra Leonean father, it might make Giggs somehow 25% Sierra Leonean but no way English.
Look it up yourself.
And I'm not even Welsh myself.
