Ethanol is a bad investment. You would have to cultivate 75% of the earth's land just to replace our dependency on oil, while it does reduce CO2 emissions it however puts out more ozone than oil, and worst of all it has help food and gas prices to go up (farmers will want to make more money so they plant corn instead of other vegtables, and to make one gallon of ethanol it takes a gallon of diesel). Hydrogen is the best fuel alternative, its clean, safe, and independent from oil.

He is right... There are Ethonal plants all over where I live, now many of them are not running because they can't afford the corn now. In the past year it has gone from 3 dollars to 8 a bushel. And because farmers have gone to corn, crops such as soybeans have jumped to 13+ a bushel.

Mass power should be Nuclear along with wind and solar on a community basis, and Transit power should remain combustion (most efficient and easier transition), and use fuels that we have(hydrogen, petro, bio).

this corn ethanol thing is not working out so well. it is not economically viable, and is creating a food shortage world-wide. still biofuel is a wonderful idea. in brazil they use sugar cane ethanol, and it is working out great for them. new technologies that will increase gas millage are also quite nice.
