Problem with letting go on oil and such is that its a mass production.

Entire companies would go bankrupt.lots and lots of people out of jobs and a huge drop of economy do to less fuel.

Solar power is only a part solution not a full one.

We need something that is nigh and day working at full capacity and less rezidual leaks

The move from oil is not going to happen over night. It will take years to achieve this.

What will be required is a diverse energy solution that is clean and offers many levels redundancy design.

You are correct it will not just be solar even though that will more than likely be the most distributed from of energy due to it environmental abundance.

Energy efficiency will be key to such strategies.

I had the good fortune to attend this speech in person. The purpose of the conference was energy technology innovations and the Governor's speech was to inspire the many technology innovators present at the conference. He really did a great job. He also presented a great way of trying to reach people that deny the reality of global climate change.

please make a website for open and public sharing (drawings, descriptions and or videos) of ideas that people can participate on from everywhere. and let people vote on which ones should be developed/implemented. like a social website for ideas.. There are millions of great ideas that are not being implemented because: they dont fit in the system, they seem childish, and MOST of all: they are TOO CHEAP!

Any abundant resource HAS to be cheap! therefore clean energy CAN NOT BE PROFITABLE in $!

china has health reasons to reduce carbon ? carbon dioxide is actually healthy for the plants and trees in our environment and the amount of co2 in the air has no effect on humans , so why should there be health reasons related to co2?

He probably meant the rest of the harmful gases that are expelled from combustion engines and factories.Gases like carbon monoxide, ozone (at low altitudes) and mercury compounds.

But even carbon dioxide can be toxic at high concentrations.

Co2 is even less the a precent,it wouldn't even have time to form any kind of dangerous concentration at that altitude.

Most of it will be absorbed by forests,jungles,savanas.

Of course if we keep cutting entire forests down and forget about re planting to make up for it then it might in the near future.

If only they would start incorporating thorium based nuclear power plants.

If only they can create a fuel that doesn't deplete the food stores.

If people start using renewable resources and supporting your local economies this planet could be a much better place.

I think that Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger inspires other people making the world a better place. A source of inspiration, I hope one day, in this life or the next, I'll drink a cup of coffee with him.Bodybuilding is a great sport, it helped me gain confidence in myself and I am able to achieve goals
