It can be done in short sleeves using 2 different methods 1 is by having it go up an angle where u just can't see it going into ur sleeve and the other is going into ur jacket i know this thats y david is wearing a jacket and y his hand goes towards it so fast

its called the raven, basically a magnet is attached to a piece of elastic which goes up your sleeve, on the end of the magnet is a loop of fishing wire which goes round your middle finger to help the magnet stay in place, when the magnet has picked up the coin he just bends his finger letting loose if the wire which makes it all shoot up his sleeve :)

One sign that a magnet are involved is that if you look at hes right hand, he moves the fingers for about all the time. But the fingers on his left hand is sealed all the time exept when the coin has disappeared, probably cuz he lets the magnet slide down in his jacketarm with the coin then. Pretty cool though.
