You still don't get it! No, Rick Tocchet was NOT a middleweight fighter when he came into the league. He was 6feet 204 lbs his rookie year in 1984. Top heavyweights in the league then were 195-210 like Clark Gillies, Terry O'Reilly, Behn Wilson, Probert, and Bob Nystrom.

Lucic is a FIRST LINE WINGER. Laraque is a 4th line goon who doesn't even dress every game. You are comparing apples and oranges, and its clear you never played hockey in your life! 1st line players dont drop with every goon.

Now as to age, I was pointing out that not many fighters come into the NHL at 19 or 20 years old, and take on the reigning heavyweight champ..especially if that young kid has skill. Cam Neely, Rick Tocchet, and Wendel Clark were all kids who came in with talent, and none of them had to fight the heavyweight champ.
