In the longboard community every one wears a helmet, and if they don't they are pressured into wearing one. In the skateboard community no one wears a helmet and if you do, you are pressured into not wearing one

@VeganSkaterDood You live in the United Kingdom ? If so you'll know that you are not legally required to wear a helmet and is a personal choice to either wear one or not ! In the UK it is compulsary to have pedal reflectors fitted to both sides of the pedals and are a far more greater safety device than a helmet. I got knocked off my bike six month's ago and didn't want to claim of the driver because there are too many of these 'fake' claims going off, costing you more on insurance.
