This ridiculously big image shows you which Trainers you can use to Fly away from, and even lists the other Trainers you can battle to get Mew: puu. sh/257S (remove the space)

That is a really weak Mew, I caught mine at level 7, trained it naturally to level 100 and it had 280 attack, 290 defence, 280 speed and 290 special. No cheats (other then the Mew glitch of course.)

It's always been the same. Only Pokemon that are traded won't listen to you. They were never really clear about that until D/P/Pt, when the Gym Leaders begin actually saying "Pokemon in trades will obey you until Level XX"

Just one question though, and an excellent video due to the explaination by the way, but why does Poke'mon obey the trainer at level one-hundred without the Earth badge? And as I said before, wonderful video. I saw one of Nidoking in Yellow, but thought that it was ridiculous because of using Growl six times. But now it makes more sense, at least more sense than it did before. And I um uncertain, but I believe that I caught Dragonite at level 5 before. I know that I have Gengar at level 5 though

Only traded poke'mon, you say? Interesting. Just that I don't remember for certain, but that I had some poke'mon disobey me before. Maybe that is something to look into. It is unfortunate that there aren't nearly as many good cheats in the newer games. That is just one of the many other disappointments that I have in the newer generations. lets just say : Mew is normally(witout growl etc) lvl 7(yeah he is lvl 7 without growl in the cheat without using growl) and if you use growl 6 times it is 7-6=1

So, it all depends on the final Attack(?) stat of the Pokemon you defeat, which should represent the hex # of the Pokemon you want to catch. Mew's is 21, so Shellder had 27 base Attack to start with, and you subtracted 6, which yielded a 21 as the hex nuber for the next Pokemon encounter.

Makes sense to me.

Oops, I messed up. The final Attack stat of your opponent yields the Level of whatever Pokemon you wish to capture, while the Special should yield which Pokemon you want to catch. So, because Shellder's Special stat is 21, it yielded a Mew. Even though it could have been any other Pokemon, just Mew is the glitch of choice, of course.

Just thought I'd check to see if I was right.

I Think The Mew And Nidoking can be traded, and the badge you need for all pokemon to listen is the last badge, the Earth Badge. But other badges makes Pokemon listen, too. Misty's Badge makes pkmn Lv. 30 and under listen, Erika's makes Lv. 50 and under listen, and Sabrina's Badge lv. 70 and under.

also, even better than this, i caught the glitch pokemon M or Missingno, went through the elite 4 with it in my team, charizard was my main pokemon at level 100, Missingno was underneath him when i finished it, after the elite 4 when your in your house again, my charizard was level 266, and stayed that way

i even used it in a battle with a link cable in the shop i used to go to, cus i was playing it in the shop, and someone walked up to me and went "pokemon, want a battle?" and i was like "yeah, i'll just use one pokemon" he used a full team of 6 level 100's, and i just took them all out in a single hit each time, i wonder why ;) but then like a fool, i was going through the game, and had a weak team, had to use charizard in a battle, and his level lowered to 100 :(

Great video, especially with the text boxes. It was very entertaining reading all of that (no sarcasm). One of the pokemon that you can get from the Mew glitch is Scyther, meaning this is the easiest way and only way (unless you can find someone with pokemon Red still) to catch him in Blue without using cheats or Gameshark. I've always enjoyed trying out different combinations. If you could, I'd like to see a video of just some of the different pokemon you can get by doing this glitch.

there is still a way for you to get a mer. level a pokemon so its special stats is at exactly 126, then press start before you meet the dude outside lavender. then fly to fushia city, and battle any random trainer. then you find a ditto, and let him transform to that soesific pokemon of yours. then go outside lavender and voila!

Hey guys, i got a few questions:

1- Can i use this glitch more than once to catch more than one Mew? Also, can i combine this glitch, with the other one to catch mew on lvl 7, in order to catch more Mews?

2- Does any other pokemon appear, other than mew, so i could use this glitch to evolve it to lvl 100?

3- Does this trick affect the game anyhow? I mean, can it corrupt the save file?
