I got my mom this model in 1979 to replace the old 1958 convertible model 31 which she gave me. My brother has it after she got a new Hoover elite in 2007. That Elite cannot do what a convertible can, and now I am home with the old, rebuilt convertible model 31 still going strong that picks up what the Elite cannot. You cannot beat the old Hoover Convertibles for cleaning rugs.

you've got the height adjustment set too high, for that carpet it should be adjusted to low. As with you other convertible video's.
Very nice machine though, Will clean well and last a long time.
