  • My niece stops crying whenever I sing this song. Now that I've cracked her password, my family starts listening to Beirut.

  • 2:00: Is like a Dvorak Symphony!

  • Beautiful!

  • Is anyone else hearing a bit of off beat playing later on in the song? Zach seems to mess up in a couple places.

  • @MisterPenguinMusic Indeed, Zach is the one taking down the tempo when he changes the facture of the chords in 2:05, then the drums try to get back on tempo and that's why it sound a little messy when it crosses with the ukulele.

  • @MisterPenguinMusic trumpet messed up too. haha.

  • I AM SEDUCED!

  • Is it marry me or bury me?

  • @danjhall1 bury

  • 2:03 I love this

  • made my heart beat a bit too fast..

  • at benicassim festival this year beirut clashed with the main stage, but as soon as mumford and sons finished i totally legged it to try and catch as much of zach before the strokes started, i arrived just as this was starting. so worth it. amazing song! especially live.

  • I'm seeing them june 10th in new orleans and this video gets me even more excited to go

  • @gabrielshark85 I have a baritone and tenor ukulele and the baritone doesn't have six strings(the difference is only in size and tone for the different types, i play the ukulele and have owned a few). it must be a six string uke or a variation on it like the greeks have or there is also a south american instrument thats very similar that has five strings. thanks for tryin to answer tho i appreciate it.

  • ukuleles have 4 strings. this is totally a guitalele.

  • @lfprojects it's a six string ukulele. the chord shapes are the exact same as a four string uke's would be for F and A. 6 string ukuleles have two octave strings. Not sure which strings have the octaves though.

  • @jowallen420 I believe it is a tenor ukulele, which is a bit bigger thant the soprano and the concert.

  • @jowallen420 It's a six string kamaka tenor.
