I also have "When the Spirit Moves" documentary however these dancers are doing swingouts which is a Lindy Hop move. Some of the footwork though is very Mambo like though. So I'd say you have Lindy Hoppers dancing to Mambo music. I know one old timer from the Savoy Ballroom that actually danced both dances in the Savoy. I know that Tito Puente played in the Savoy in the 1950's.
You're right! Do you know this original film? By normal lenght, they were dancin' swing / be-bop! The great cur-up remix were done using remote slow motion ... and the same afro-americans dances ...samba! ... looks like! Let me know: the beat I'd use as soundtrack is caller Lindy Hop? Could you send me some klinks to listen others? Anyway: thanks for comments

No worry at all! It is one of my favorite documentaries, and the various lindy hop and mambo clips in it are just awesome.

No it is not Lindy Hop it is Mambo as danced in the Savoy Ballroom in 1951, from Mura Dehn's documentary "The Spirit Moves."

The dancing footage in this video is Lindy Hop not Samba. (Except for the footage of Brazil at the very end) Great song though.
