I don't understand how ESPN 2k5 is THAT much better than Madden. The detailing in 2k5 is a hell of a lot better than Madden. That's weird because EA Sports probably has plenty of money to make a few detailing improvements. 2k5 is 10 times better than Madden. Even though the ESPN 2k series hasn't brought out new NFL games and Madden has. So in reality...Madden sucks compared to ESPN 2k5. Real talk.

you know what else was better about the Rice catch? His teammate on the bench was actually reacting unlike madden's "let's make every player go in sync with one another" At about 4:01 you can see the player in the middle of the bench jumping up and down.

but when i look at it, the only thing that will be improved will be the pass blocking. . .the QB drop step move is still out of order. . .run animations & physics suck, still had limited (& unrealistic) pass trajectories & velocity, sucky (lack of) run blocking, sucky Pro-Taky, unrealistic tackle breaking,etc. This game just has no 'character' to it. . .no fun factor. . .

@ThreatVision The only thing that ever really irked me about the 2K series was having to hold down the charge to try and break through a tackle. All the base animations, player interactions, pass trajectories, etc., were far superior in the 2K series (especially presentation). I just wish that 2K had retooled the power running.

I love NFL 2k5 and still play it to this day and the first comparison of the 2 catches was fair and 2k easily was better but i think the 2nd "bonus catch" Madden did a better job. Irvins catch was much more reasonable than Rices. Jerry would have dropped that no matter how good he is. thats my opinion

(regarding the 2nd set of catches)

1. Michael Irvin was in the endzone, so if he caught it with 2 two hands and fell (which is what would happen in that situation in real life) it's still a TD. Furthermore, reach for it with 1 hand just to do it isn't smart risk to take.

2. Jerry Rice was reaching for a very BADLY thrown ball. this was a 'something out of nothing' play. He HAD to jump as high as he could. .so he HAD to reach for it with 1 hand to have a chance

Madden is a piece of crap. My gf bought it for me. I figured I'd give it a chance. A month in, it was like EA unlocked the glitches after 30 days of play. It was ridiculous. Online is laggy as hell even with strong connection. Players exploit glitches constantly. I fumble at their will.
