There was all the same hype a few years back for a huge Russian bodybuilder named Alex Federov. He came out of "nowhere" and looked really good standing next to Coleman at the Russian Grand Prix that year ('06 I think). He dropped off the map after the Olympia that year was not heard from again. This kid Alexey is amazing for only 23 but time will tell if he makes it pro and how long/successful his career is once/if he makes it there.

Franco columbu won mr Olympia in 1976 after Arnold won in 75, Franco won again in 1981 after arnold took the title in 1980. Franco is only 5ft 5. Dorian Yates isn't American either, he's British and he won mr Olympia 6 Times in a row.

@Bishiup looks like their pumped full of synthol, so their muscles stay flexed even when they are relaxing. That's why the delts are sticking out abnormally and the lats never go down either.
@Bishiup me too, the older, the better. the better. Lou Ferrigno turned 60 today and I don't think any of those guys could compete with the incredible Hulk. Now, they just look weird. Why is that?

people who have no knowledge of steroids believe that if you take steroids you'll look like arnold schwarzenegger. I guarantee almost everyone is on steroids and other performance enhancers on stage and some are not that big. This shows that genetics, diet, and training are the three most important aspects in bodybuilding.
I love how he never stops smiling. Everyone else is so somber, he just beams. It helps when you are the best one on the stage. I don't think he can pack much more muscle on that frame of his. Now it's all about polishing and refining that amazing physique of his.
@covey1013 yep....like he should work more on getting deep striations n separation esp in thighs and he should also work on trimming his waist . At this height he can be something like Lee Priest .
@mronnoco Yea your right his body does remind me of sergio oliva. Especially the back double bicep pose at 5:45...Alexey is miles ahead of the other competators in this video...He has the best shape, the most mass, and overall a better flow to his physique then the others.
