I don't see the problem with this game. Most kids in my neighborhood, didn't care about the who did the voices (lets face it thats a nice addition to actually give the enemies some personality) the upgrades were done nicely and the levels were fun to play through.

@thedonoftrek 1990-1996. Pixel-art is fucking difficult. Which makes a good 16 bit game a true masterpiece. The music is quite memorable. For such primitive hardware, you could get some impressive music.. I would much rather see an SNES-styled megaman game. I mean for nostalgic purposes, 9 and 10 were great games. But... they just fall short.  Bland bosses, forgettable music.. Good level design. But that's it!

I gotta disagree on most counts. I thought the music was great, and the voice acting, while hokey, fits the setting. Honestly, 8 is my second favorite game in the entire original series (possibly contested by Megaman and Bass).

Plus Mega Man just took up way too much of the screen :D

@Quadcentruo I don't mind the X series. It was a new series, set to be a little slower. The animations fit the speed of the game though, something that is most certainly off in MM8. The animations are way too slow and make the game seem even slower than it is.

The ability to have different types of charge shots, which was done again in MMBN1 with the Buster battle chips that changes your charge shots to something else aside from a canon. Also, Mid-Bosses, which was then done in X4 and all subsequent X games.
