Great video Roy, as you remembered my Dad racing here (Brian Hammond) in the early 1970s and I reckon it's still more enjoyable to watch than a lot of racing today because there is actually a race going on. Not all about causing the biggest pile up first bend leaving one car to drive around untouched. No problem with big crashes but lets have some racing too, or lets have DD events where people can smash their car up first race without doing it to others.
great vid proper banger racing , did teams such as nuneaton nutters, bedworth barons, ullesthorpe red devils ever race there ? would love to see photos of the cars and their teams.
Fantastic video'reminds me of when i was young.The good old days when a car used to last half a season and the drivers had to drive instead of just piling into the back of a stationary car and then bailing out.

thanks for the comments. Brafield is still in use. i dont think its as popular these days though. hopefully the new promoter will sort that out.
