hey, did the black pickguard go with that strat? Or did you replace it yourself? I wanted to make my Fender Strat (MIM) look similar to the SRV strat, and the only thing getting in the way now is the white pickguard that my strat came with.

anyway, was it hard replacing the pickguard? I've never tried it as of yet :-S

The sunburst Vintage Modified strat comes standard with a black pickguard. Its not that hard to change a pickguard . You remove the strings. Unscrew it from the body. Unscrew the pickups and the controls. Put the electronics on the new pickguard and then put the PG back on the body. You just have to make sure you buy a PG that lines up with the existing holes otherwise you have to make new ones.
