2). Coanda crashed, yes. BUT it was the very first jet engine flight, he increased RPM to try the engine, he did not know that it was so powerful, quickly went overspeed, lost control, and crashed.

Mate you are tripping! jet engine was co invented by Dr.Hans von Ohain (a german) and sir Frank Whittle (a briton).
They eache worled separately not knowing of other-s work.
Sir Whittle first patented his jet engine in 1930.
