It's only casting for the fairy-tale , not for the mario storyline . Think of those fanfics where anime characters are cast as characters in something else (like LotR , PotP , various disney movies , monty python , etc.) . So basically that was cast for humor . *nods*

To my knowledge it's practically non-existent. I hear that because there was never any plans of it being released in the U.S., there's no official dub. Someone somewhere probably has, but it would take a lot of effort and time to find them.

They made an American Super Mario Show back in the eighties. Mario and Luigi had New York accents and It was based of Mario Bros 3. It was alright. I'd agree that This would be cool in English either Fansubbed or dubbed. I miss Mario having a NY accent vs an Italian.
