At the Ayah 24:31, Allah give women the exception to reveal their adornment for specific persons [.....and not to reveal their adornment except to their husbands, or their fathers, or their husband's fathers......] But without EXCESSIVE finery; I mean not as like with her husband, in addition, it's not allowed for Muslim women to reveal their adornment (finery) in front of non-Muslim women.
As for the Sister at the end in the wedding dress, as we know, there are specific places for men and other for women at wedding parties, but I wanted to say that the veiled women are living a normal life and the veil doesn't prevent them from learning, working...etc. as some of others do claim.

"to men we can marry" It might be I didn't choose the correct word (excessive), but I wanted to say that wife can't appear with same form which she appears by it with her husband in front of men at 24:31.
for example, it's not allowed for mother to appear in front of her mature sons while her arms are uncovered completely (she must cover the half), and more than half of her legs are uncovered (she must cover them till under two knees)..etc.

Because children are so young they don't understand anything about women or their Awrah or their soft speech or their enticing ways of walking and moving. If a child is small and doesn't understand that, there is nothing wrong with him entering upon women, ....
...but if he is an adolescent or approaching adolescence, so that he knows and understands these things, and can make a distinction between who is beautiful and who is not, then he should not enter upon women.
I don't speak except what is in Quran and Sunna, then what scholars talked about it.

It makes sense in 24:58-59, that everyone would have to ask for permission because it is in the private rooms, and the husband and wife may be in a state of nudity or near nudity; I still don't see anything about 'arms' specifically. Allah's messenger urged to teach woman. He(PBUH)said to woman"May you teach this (his wife Hafsah)?" While his wife Hafsah(may Allah be pleased with her)was old, but he cared to teach her.
This is lesson for men who leave their women in ignorance & letting them as illiterates, even slave-women, he (PBUH) urged to teach them.
Narrated Abu Musa,Allah's messenger said, "He who has a slave-woman and educates and treats her nicely and then manumits and marries her, will get a double reward."
So, that's for slave-women (they're not now), so what about free women and girls?!
Therefore, what was the base that they did depend on it? Nothing!
As for co-education system, it isn't permissible in Islam, and everybody (Muslim and non-Muslim) knows why.
Therefore, If they have schools for girls and women only; and teachers from women, so they've no reason(s) to do what they did, may Allah guide them, amen.
I heard an interview with a Muslim woman on NPR who lived in Kabul when the Taliban ruled it and she was beaten in public in front of her 8 y/o son for disobeying the Koran and venturing outside the home without her husband (killed in one of the Afghan wars) or adult male relative. If that's Muslim and The Prophet's respect for women, you can have it. But of course I myself believe in personal freedom, so if it's true in your case there is no coersion (no way for me to know for sure) OK then.

Even the Christian bible admonishes a woman to remain modest as she is a gift to her husband. Old biblical teachings also required women to have their heads covered during the celebration of the Mass.A woman's hair is her own glory.
It's so good to hear that, so women who uncover their head (hair) and their bodies are disobeying Allah and His prophets, because all religions are from Allah WHO made all respect to women, so why we see that there are some women uncover their hair and bodies.

The covering of head of women is obligation, as for covering of face, it's optional for them except if they did fear from any hurt (from men who are a lot at theses days), they've to cover it.

When you see a veiled woman everyone knows that she is a Muslim and when you see a woman in skirt or any other dress nobody knows if she is an Atheist, Christian, Jew, Hindu or any other faith. This is where we Muslims defer, we have our own identity in this world and in the hereafter.
Regardless of the religion identity, the veil not relate to religion whatever it was. In fact, it relates who obeys Allah and who doesn't. You see many of Muslim women don't wear veil, so, do we'll call them non-Muslims, of course no, the nuns are wearing skirt, so they're obeying Allah and the instructions of their religion, many of Muslim women are wearing the veil, so they're obeying Allah and the instructions of their religion.
There aren't schools of thought about veils, it's only as Allah said and His messenger (watch the beginning of this video). It's their right to wear what they want, but it mustn't describe their bodies (diaphanous or narrowness clothes), but they must wear Hejab (veil) if a young girl reached to menstruation period. The veil is a command from Allah.
Your body is your own, nobody has the right to look to it except your husband.
They're wearing it as I saw when I was working there (90-95).

Therefore, what was the base that they did depend on it? Nothing!
As for co-education system, it isn't permissible in Islam, and everybody (Muslim and non-Muslim) knows why.
Therefore, If they have schools for girls and women only; and teachers from women, so they've no reason(s) to do what they did, may Allah guide them, amen.

I heard an interview with a Muslim woman on NPR who lived in Kabul when the Taliban ruled it and she was beaten in public in front of her 8 y/o son for disobeying the Koran and venturing outside the home without her husband (killed in one of the Afghan wars) or adult male relative. If that's Muslim and The Prophet's respect for women, you can have it. But of course I myself believe in personal freedom, so if it's true in your case there is no coersion (no way for me to know for sure) OK then.

The covering of head of women is obligation, as for covering of face, it's optional for them except if they did fear from any hurt (from men who are a lot at theses days), they've to cover it.

I hope so. At 1950s, US limited the age of marriage by 12 years for women, as well as Mary (may Allah be pleased with her) was 12 years old when she was pregnant with Jesus (PBUH).

Regardless of the religion identity, the veil not relate to religion whatever it was. In fact, it relates who obeys Allah and who doesn't. You see many of Muslim women don't wear veil, so, do we'll call them non-Muslims, of course no, the nuns are wearing skirt, so they're obeying Allah and the instructions of their religion, many of Muslim women are wearing the veil, so they're obeying Allah and the instructions of their religion.

Obviously there's many schools of thought about veils. It's up to the woman if she wants to wear one that is her right.
Same as it is the right of all women everywhere to wear what they want (as long as no animals died for it).
Muslim females can wear veils in Britain freely, can western women wear skirts in Saudi?
Despite what people think, the UK is a very free country that shows respect for all religions and races!

There aren't schools of thought about veils, it's only as Allah said and His messenger (watch the beginning of this video). It's their right to wear what they want, but it mustn't describe their bodies (diaphanous or narrowness clothes), but they must wear Hejab (veil) if a young girl reached to menstruation period. The veil is a command from Allah.
Your body is your own, nobody has the right to look to it except your husband.

To do good deeds, it's a Jihad. To keep praying, it's a Jihad. To deal with people with good morals, it's a Jihad. To deal with my parents with good behavior, it's a Jihad.
It's the Jihad against Satan who whispers to every person to do the bad doings.

yes, this is happening in KSA, but here in Egypt, women are wearing veil by there choice although it's an order from Allah and His messenger, they're wearing it for obeying Allah and to get His satisfaction.
