  • 0:34 He is holding the most powerful thing in the world!

  • Why the fuck didn't they just write a disclaimer that warned you that the Twin Towers were going to make an appearance instead of pulling it?

  • If Spidey was real he could of webbed up the planes or go inside and defeat the terrorist and pilot the plane.

  • @BlackOpsNinja2011 If spider-Man were real there would be no Osama or Gadaffi...

  • @GigabyteGamers Yes there would. Spiderman mostly fights crime in America, not ruthless dictators/terrorists in other countries. Spiderman never was a freedom fighter in any of the comics, just a super hero who fights simple crime, and what ever nemesis of his happens to pop up in town.

  • now you see em ... now you dont

  • yeah if spiderman was was real he could have saved them all

  • This trailer is one of my favorites ever made. I don't know why they had to put it away just because of what happened with the wtc. It was ridiculous trying to avoid that the wtc existed. They should have showed it as a tribute making just a dedication to the people that lost their lives. Trying to forget the wtc catastrophe was a ridiculous american idea.

  • @heartofzorro I think, if you are trying to draw an audience to the theaters, reminding them of all their dead friends is probably not the best way to go about it. I can see why it got pulled, even if it is a shame. Then again, the trailer has nothing to do with the actual plot of the movie anyway. And it doesn't seem like it was ever intended to either.

  • This trailer was a teaser in front of summer blockbusters in 2001 ... several months before the attacks. There was no need to "pull" the trailer ... the holiday movie season (after the attacks) would have shown a different, more elaborate trailer anyway.

The gutsiest thing I saw in the movies in the months following the attacks was keeping the WTC as part of the distant skyline in a scene toward the end of "Vanilla Sky."

  • @lenarends It was ridiculous trying to hide the WTC. What a stupid idea.

  • What's SubZero's theme doing on a Spiderman trailer?

  • I think the greatest tribute to the Twin Towers was to leave them in. Don't edit out two icons of NYC because of Muslim extremists! Honor the towers by leaving them in standing tall and proud over the NYC skyline.

  • @samuelflower there's many documentaries which stated another vision of what happened in 9/11... I recommend you to look at it and watch it...

  • When i saw this for the first time it was like "holy shit" but it turned out to be a shity movie, and a shity trilogy... what a pity...

And, @samuelflower, i recomend you to read a little more about it, like yessicaflores79 said there's more than one angle to it... search WTC auto attack and you will find some interesting stuff...

  • Ouch, talk about timing with this trailer

  • 0:51 essa cena do helicóptero passando rasante no prédio *-* the scene of the helicopter skimming past the building *-*

  • Ten years. Damn...

  • Wow.... those effects are fucking horrible.

  • wow shit looks so fake.... i don't know how i fell for these cgi back in the day LOOLOLOLOLOLOL

  • Ahh...those days had uncolored phones i remember them...XDXD

  • maybe spiderman should stop messing with the thieves and get his ass in afghanistan and fight al qaeda

  • So the robbers uses Nokia... interesting. ;)

  • Why pull the entire trailer (or cut the sequence, if it was ever intended to be included in the final cut of the movie)? All they need to do is have the helicopter get stuck between two different buildings.

  • @Kooshmeister3 Because it would probably be too expensive.

  • Loved this trailer back in 2001 when I first saw it! I understood the censoring. People go to the theatre to escape from the day to day reality. If the World Trade Center had been left in the movie and the trailer, it would have been too difficult to view in the wake of the tragedy. But all in all...an excellent trailer just the same.

  • DOES ANYONE KNOW THE NAME OF THE SONG AT 0:14 ????

  • DOES ANYONE KNOW THE NAME OF THE MUSIC THEY PLAY AT 0:14 ???????

  • Why couldnt spiderman stop the planes crashing into the twin towers?

  • i think i've seen this before was it ever put on any dvd's? you know like those trailers that appear before the movies?

  • oooooo......

  • Fucking 9/11. Two towers get blown up and the whole fucking world turns up side down.

  • @tudythegangster The funny thing that the world doesn't. Only USA.

  • @ResurrectedTemplar And consequently the world.

  • @tudythegangster Well the whole world didn't turn upside down? And neither did the USA either? We maintained our composure. But 3,000 people did die for absolutely nothing and that is pretty serious.

  • @mrelclark94 Oh and removing the two towers from every single picture, despite the fact that this might delay the movie several months sure helped didn't it?

    And everything has a reason.

  • @tudythegangster Did you reply to the wrong comment? I never said anything about reasons or about them taking the trailer down...? The trailer shouldn't have been taken down. After all you can't erase history. You kind of just acted like 9/11 didn't matter but 3,000 people died to it does matter...just sayin

  • @mrelclark94 I'm talking about the movie you twat. Jesus Christ... forget it, talking to ya is like banging my head against the wall.

  • @tudythegangster hmmm, I sense trollolol

  • It was kind of a silly trailer anyway. Spider-Man isn't supposed to be a giant. Can he really pull a helicopter back with his web-shooters?

  • @UCKABAH Spins a web, any size! Catches thieves just like flies!

  • fuck you alqaeda for ruining this clip.

  • if spider man was only real and couldve saved all those people inside the world trade center

  • @drr30531 then Spidey had to asassinate Bush.

  • Oh my god it's just a fucking Spiderman trailer shut the fuck up with all this political nonsense, a bunch of you need to man the fuck up and grow a pair I mean if one trailer effects you this much then you people are better off killing yourselves. Get a life you pieces of trash.

  • I meant 9/11

  • They did the trailer before 9/12 they took it out after it happened.

  • Wath is a song?

  • Why???? Why pull this after 9-11??? It is like 'high-fiving' the terrorists!!!!! Why not keep the WTC in everything as a MIDDLE FINGER instead?????

    [terrorists-whomever they really were]

  • @andyjarhead666 Shut the fuck up you ignorant pile of shit, No real american would ever support the censorship of anything no matter how offensive for to do so is to go against the freedom of speech. People like you aren't americans, people like you are the real problem with this country so you need to leave our country now or just die in your sleep you failed abortion.

  • @DarkFreelancer666 Did you even read my comment?? Here, let me copy and paste it again......

Why???? Why pull this after 9-11??? It is like 'high-fiving' the terrorists!!!!! Why not keep the WTC in everything as a MIDDLE FINGER instead?????

    [terrorists-whomever they really were

At what point did I support censorship? I am against it...completely. I was on active duty in the MARINE CORPS on 9-11.... What I'm saying is KEEP the WTC in movies or whatever as a tribute and a 'NYC Salute'

  • OMG! !

  • When I first saw this trailer in the theaters....i bout bust a nut......and then I went home to see the trailer.....and rubbed one out.....yes....I love spiderman

  • RIP Sofia, you died senslessly but atleast your in a better place then this shithole planet made up of shitheads.Besides, whatever made any sense anyway.

  • I disagree with the Freedom Tower.......they should have got the blue prints of the World trade center and rebuilt them back the exact same way they were.....that would have been the biggest spit in bin ladens face ever.

  • @CODEColt45 Bin Laden didn't plan the terrorist attacks. he didn't have the power to infiltrate airlines and recruit the right people. they're just men in caves in the middle east. 9/11 was an inside job set up by the government for purposes of warmongering to conquer Iraq and Afghanistan. they've done it time and time again. Vietnam is a fine example.

  • @aidenmccloskey do me a favor,I mean its a free country and internet and everything but please keep your "JFK was shot by 3 assassins" conspiracy theories to yourself,I really dont care to hear or argue against them.I have heard and seen ridiculous claims from people about 9/11 for everything from the CIA and Jews being behind it to there being bombs planted in the building and Im really growing weary of it because we all saw what happened. You can believe what you want, just dont expect me to.

  • @CODEColt45 i'm not a conspiracy theorist. i don't believe the jews were responsible or that JFK was assassinated by '3 assassins.' you don't have to be a conspiracy theorist to realise what happened on 9/11. i don't expect you to believe, i just expect you to open your eyes and see what's really going on. i'll do you a favour however. i'll give you this advice. don't believe everything your government tells you. don't believe that they have the publics best interest at their hearts.

  • My eyes are as wide open now as they were when I was staring at the smoke billowing from the world trade center towers from my mother's apartment in Battery Park a decade ago.I dont believe, trust, like,or work for the government.Infact I am an advocate against political incorrectness like the classic "fight for your country"scpiel which is bullshit because we all know your simple engaging in engaged forms of gangbanging to encforce the policies of old grey haird white guys in 2 piece suits.

  • All I am simply saying is dont try to tell me what I saw....because what I saw was mass murder on a grand scale by a bunch of rag headed idiots stupid enough to think that crashing planes into a coupld of office buildings met they were striking at the heart of America when all they did was make a big dusty mess that they were unwilling to clean up afterwards.

  • Spidey could've stopped the terrorists

  • Comment removed

  • @steve5568 Back then, yes it was. It's pretty over-the-top now, but back then, no one wanted to think about it unless it was mourning or seeking revenge.

  • @steve5568 They didn't censor anything. It was out of respect. There was no one telling film companies and tv stations to do this. They just did it out of respect.

  • FUCK YOU OSAMA, hey guess, what, why don't you do the suicide bomber shit so you can get your 10000000000 virgins so you can not only stop terrorizing innocent lives, but also stop terrorizing movies

  • @roboguy75 /watch?v=igX7Z8VstN4

  • this is awesome, and i don't see any reason why anybody would relate it to the terrorist attacks.

  • Not only did the terrorist destroy the world trade center they also terrorized this scene out of the spider man movie FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

  • I rememebr this trailer... I always wondered why I never saw it again, except for a few VHS tapes once in a while released with this. (EVEN WITH THE OBVIOUS REASON LOOMING)

  • So really they didn't show this.....

  • Spidey should've stopped fucking around with the Green Goblin and stop the goddamned terrorists.

  • look at 0:45!

    its Los Angeles! lol

the tall black building is AON center..

but its still an awesome trailer!

  • Everyone shit bricks the moment we saw this Trailer.

  • why didnt spidy stop the planes

  • they coulda stopped it at 1:25 and it would have had a better effect.

They never should have cut it anyway

  • What song is this?

  • I remember I saw this in theatres right before 9/11... I was a fan of the comics and hadn't seen anything on the movie prior, so I was ecstatic.

  • I kinda miss that New York Lottery announcement done from the roof of one of the towers, too...

  • Spin means spider in dutch

  • When I saw this trailer, I had no idea it was Spider-man until the reveal.

I think I soiled my pants.

Too bad they had to stop running it

  • too bad theres not gonna be a spiderman 4

  • @tapion567 Yes There Is. Coming Out Next Year

  • @allofusinlv2956 There isnt a Spidey 4. Raimi left because of conflicting interests and the thing pretty much fell apart. Marc Webb is making a reboot of the Spidey franchise, and that movie should be out by next year.

  • @allofusinlv2956 no there doing a reboot with new actors and new everything

  • @gdogg395 interesting, but why would they pick a british person for spider-man/peter parker

  • I saw this trailer in the movies. I forget what movie is was, but I can NEVER forget those Twin Towers. RIP WTC

  • NEVER FERGET!!!

  • @griffenb PRATRIOTISM LOLOLOLOL!!!

  • lame....:P

  • 1:29 world trade center in spidey's left lense

  • @sith2233 No, that's his right lens, our left.

  • @TerrorBlack thanks for pointing it out dude

  • this isnt real. the music, and the way the bank robbery scene is filmed is tacky.

  • @joshwashposh Actually it is. I remember getting the trailer on a video game demo disc. It was the first trailer that Columbia put out as simply a teaser. And of course it was tacky. The same kind of tacky that the movie had. ;)

Yeah, there's no way I can prove it NOW. But that scene was meant to be a scene in the movie when the Spider-Man/spinning-newspaper-story montage played.

  • @ThePenciler09 I'll take your word for it. And I suppose, Raimi is tacky as hell

  • @joshwashposh Yeah, all I remember is someone said in an interview that this was supposed to be an early test scene for the movie that was supposed to be part of the montage (kind of like that early test scene that was released for Sin City, but that one was to convince Frank Miller a movie of Sin City was a good idea). It wasn't just taken out just because of 9/11, they would have left it on the cutting room floor anyway, but them taking it out because of 9/11 makes for a better story. :P

  • Never forget, the Green Goblin did 9/11!

  • NEVER FORGET SPIDERMAN THJE MOVIE

  • NEVER FOPRGET

  • It's funny but it's no Tribute.wmv

  • i wonder how the towers would of fit in the movies?

  • wtf

  • it was really sad I thought it was a prank but when the first tower hit then I weeped

    for two hours

  • in the first moments i remember i said... superman?? oohhh spiderman!!!!!!!

  • when I saw A.I. I watched this trailer in the cinema a few days before 9/11...

  • coolest trailer of all time!!!

they should of had this in the extra features on DVD. it's ridiculous that this got pulled due to 9/11

  • that's easy to say 8 years later. It was a very delicate subject back then.

  • why did they cut the bank robbery scene out of the movie?

  • it was made just for a trailer, cut it cos of 9/11

  • Yeah I mean it maybe easy in retrospect to go damn that was too cool to be left out, but they made the right decision. America was understandably glum and the last thing people want to see in the middle of a fun summer blockbuster, was the recently obliterated World Trade Centre Used as prop. Though I do concede the film turns out to be a bit darker than one expected but still.

  • that's too bad that scene didn't get to be put in the movie. that would have been so cool.

  • Yeah i agree with that guy it does look like the dark knight intro but Dark Knight Was a better movie than all the spider mans put together.

  • I think the reason to why they don't mix fictional superhero stories with tragic events would be because it's too hard to answer the question why they were not there. But what angers me is in tv where 9/11 is mentioned but there was no episode about it at the time it happend. Like Family Guy, the cartoon was still airing when 9/11 happend, and they made no episode about it. Today there are many episodes where they mention it. I hate it when they do that!

  • Marvel & DC both made comics dedicated to 9/11. Marvel's comic (Amazing Spiderman #477) sales went to 911 relief efforts. The comic was a tribute to the efforts of New Yorkers & how regular people were the heros. The Marvels didnt attempt to stop the attacks but instead helped out in the relief effort. Family Guy you should know is a crazy show. They try to offend everyone & everything. They even got sued & put off the air several times but always managed to come back.

  • Fuck i hate family guy the simpsons is much better

  • hell yeah!

  • Comment removed

  • I figured they don't usually mix heroes and tragedies because the good guys are supposed to win every time. There's no happy ending if you have spider man walking through the wreckage.

  • what's the name of the last song kind o f electronic....from 1:27 to the end???

  • Leave you far behind by Lunatic Calm. The song was also in The Matrix :)

  • I so loved this trailer when it hit the net. to bad it was pulled for understandable reasons. However i still think it should have been on the dvd and blu ray release.

  • Cool trailer. Don't blame 'em one bit for not using it.

  • who is the name of song in the last part

  • yh lol he should catch planes

  • Even thou the towers are shown, this idea was probily taken from the cartoon back '94, where Spidy and SHELD failed to stop the helicopter from hitting another building.

  • Looks like DC rip off Marvle, because the begining of the Dark Knight looks a lot like the star of the trailer.

  • I hope you know this wasn't the first scene that showed a bank robbery.

  • I swear, society is so goddamn sensitive. They shouldn't of pulled this trailer. They should've just put "in memory of..." You know?

  • They made the right move by not putting it in. They respected the sensitive while but also knew the trailer would leak out on the web so people would be able to see it anyway.

  • I actually saw in the theater the summer b4 9-11. Everybody was laughing. But then of course 9-11 came.

  • Man this trailer rocks. I remember seeing it on TV and totally flipping out. Remembering the hype for this flick brings back some good memories.

  • yah its a shame spidey coud not catch airplanes

  • lol

  • In the movie, if you look close to spidey's mask in the shot before J.J. appears, you can se the reflection of the twin towers in his eyes.

  • This was never intended to be a part of the movie. It was just meant as an early trailer to get audiences hyped up. It came out about a full year before the movie was released.

  • The quality of this shot is very different from the movie itself... sorta reminds me of a bear or car commercial. Makes sense why they wouldn't put in the movie given the WTC, was probably an easy seen to cut... worked better as a trailer anyways

  • glad they cut this, it looks awkward

  • oohh i remember this

  • i remember seeing it on tv once before it got pulled, think it was some sporting event but i don't remember if it was a world series or a super bowl

  • at 1:29 the twin towers r in spidermans eye in the movie they hav the same close up like this nd it still shows the twin towers

  • To Strops101:

Yeah, I noticed that, too. However, in other trailers, it's not in his eye. I wonder why they kept the WTC in his eye for the theatrical cut.

  • they probly forgot or thought that people wouldnt notice it

  • i heard in spider man 2 the north tower can be seen but only if you are watching in widescreen

  • dude the north tower was blowen up by the second movie

  • what music???? the roller coaster one

  • friggin terrorists ruined everything from families all over the U.S. to movie budgets

  • @Tinker779

it was your own fucking goverment

  • @Tinker779 That was the plan. Terroist saw this trailer when they went to see Jurassic Park III. They were like. Lets get this scene pulled from Spider-Man. Their like, "Yea but how?". "Ok I know this sounds crazy, but lets fly some planes into those two buildings!" Their all like "Yea that sounds awsome."

  • damn,i remember when i first saw this..looong time ago, this scene was supossed to be in the movie, but they cut it out and moved the date.shame

  • yes...back in '02, ive seen this movie with my dad and my sis and i dont c the wtc

  • Come on it wasn't that long ago. I still remember many events in 2001 very clearly and I was 10.

  • nunka habìa caxado ste trailer O.o!

  • hm, i wonder if Imageworks created a CGI new york used for fake "live" shots of 9/11 ?

  • Oh. :(

I wish they restore it back into the film. It looks amazing!

  • yeah rest in peace everyone who died in 9/11 :(

  • was this scene ever suppose to be in the movie? it looks really cheap and all the color is processed completely differently from the spidey films. I think it was just some Marketing firm that made this for the teaser trailer.

  • that scene would have sucked if it stayed in the film. I'm kinda glad they took it out.

Rest in Peace to all the people who died on 9/11.

  • That opening scene reminds me of the opening scene of batman..am i right?

  • yeah it reminded me of the dark knight too.

  • That's exactly what I was thinking.

  • they did keep in the scene where the WTC building is reflected in Spidey's Eyes

  • It is a big sorrow see that this scene had to be cut due the 911 events

  • yeahh.. I mean, they didnt have the right to cut this! I mean one thing is one thing... and of course another thig is just another thing... mmm maybe they will paste it back in 10 years in sooome special edition DVD or something else... The George lucas way!

  • Fapsamup is right on target. Watch the documentaries they break down everything involving 9/11 and you will open your eyes. Thank God we have people who have their eyes open wider than the rest of us and help show us the truth.

I lost my father in the WTC and I believe it was the US gov't that planned the "terrorist attacks". I am not hateful towards the US gov't or anyone else; just saddened that humanity can be so damn evil. I just miss my Dad; I am afraid he'll be forgotten.

  • what about france ? frenchs are comics-eater and like special effects...so that's just a deleted scene for them !! it's a little more for the others...

  • its creepy how only a few years ago the two huge twin towers were there tall and proud and now theres just a huge empty space in new york :(

  • I remember seeing this trailer for the first time in theaters. I then mad going through the Net looking for info. If you look in h
