To everyone who's said "It's Rin not Lin." You guys are mistaken. It's spelt 'Rin' but people sometimes spell or say 'Lin'. The same goes for Len. It's either 'Ren' or 'Len'

But since there's so much confusion I think they should've wrote: "How I draw episode 27: Rin Kagamine (Vocaloid)" Then there wouldn't have been any confusion between is it male version of Rin or did they mean Len not Rin :) (In this text I'm using "them" as he/she coz I'm lazy)

ALL YOU PEOPLE WHO THINK THIS GUY GOT THEM MIXED UP, YOU GUYS ARE HELLA STUPID!!! Okay, the reason WHY he drew Rin when it was written as Lin is because its a custom in Japan. Lin isn't fanmade, that's stupid. IN Japan, there is no such thing as the pronnoutiation of R! So instead, they do the L istead of the R! So he drew Rin, but wrote is Lin because Japanese people say R instead of L. So if they say really, they say it Leally. Get it right people.

And in the case of highly public characters like the Vocaloids or popular manga cast members, there is almost always a romaji/English spelling. In the case of Rin, it's with an R, because Len and Rin are meant to be Left and Right, respectively.

So yes, get it right. :P

So basically, in Japanese writing, you can replace words with a L and spell it with an R. For example, he spelled Rin Kagamine as Lin Kagamine. He used the R and replaced it with a L.

Regarding the answer at 2:49, it is NOT the same when spelled out, because Crypton Future Media clearly confirmed that it is Kagamine Rin and Len, and pronounciation is different than spelling. And repeating sailordestiny101, Haine Lin and Ren are fanmade and not official Vocaloids.

For the record everyone trying to defend this using the whole japanes L and R thing. That only works if the orignal begins with and L and you use R. It's not Rin, Nor is it Ren, or Ruka. It is SPECIFICALLY Rin and Len. The L-R isn't used in this case. And Rin is correct, since there is no L in the Japanese language.
