@originalmusic401 Catwoman straggles the line in between villain and ally. I couldn't really think of anyone else. Mr. Freeze IS pretty cool, I'll admit. He really impressed me in Arkham City, but I don't see myself putting him on my favourites list. If anything, I think Killer Croc or Victor Zsasz as #5 on my list. I'd actually rather put Harley Quinn on the list, but I feel like people will reply to me and say "oh, well she's part of the Joker, blah blah blah" but I LOVE her!
I love Ra's al Ghul! He really is underrated. Immortal. Leader of the League of Shadows. His motives are understandable, yet his methods are extreme. Plus, he's got one of the greatest voices in the history of ever! David Warner is amazing, and Liam Neeson was a PERFECT choice to play him in "Batman Begins"! Ra's is definitely one of my favorites.
@Tyran1232 He ain't that underrated. After all he was picked by Chris Nolan to be the villain in Batman Begins and had a pretty big role in Arkham City. There are more underrated villains like Hush or Deacon Blackfire, which are really creepy and they usually appear only in the comics. Well Hush appeared in Arkham City, but it was very minor role in a side mission.
I'm thinking this is part of Bane's plan in Dark Knight Rises.. thus the Lazarus pit they found filming in India? lol j/p but would be cool... s/n: what Batman really meant to say to Ra's: "you are completely fucking insane"
@loneotaku Yeah, but I think his presence could have been better. His missions were forced, I mean, they tried to copy the ones from Scarecrow in Arkham Asylum, which were awesome and in Arkham City they didn't fit.
@FellFather Ra's Al Ghul is always on countdowns of the best comic book villains and usually has main roles on Batman stuff that isn't comics. It's only underrated if you compare him with Joker which everyone loves. If you ask me I like Ra's more. Deacon Blackfire and Hush, those are underrated villains.
@JoliLongbone We'll because they we're wanting to see and make sure he wasn't hiding any hidden-objects that would otherwise allow escape. Basically it's what you call a strip-search!!!
It's a real shame that they weren't able to do the Near Apocalypse of '09 that was mentioned in Batman Beyond as being the final battle between Batman and Ra's al Ghul.
@TerrorAtTheSky He'll be getting an cameo appearance back when he was younger (Josh Penace) and when he was played by Liam Neeson. That's about all we know at the moment.
Whenever Batman's shirtless, but still has the mask on, I get kind of annoyed, because all I can think is "Give him a sword/guillotine!" because he looks like a friggen executioner!
@IllyaItaCarole OMG, I was thinking the same-thing that he looked like an Executioner with his mask still on but shirtless, especially how beefy he is in this cartoon!!!
They took the ecological consciousness of the 70s and mixed it perfectly with a classic villain of the type pulp heroes like the Shadow would have faced. Instant awesome.
@Deader87 Well Ra's Al Ghul is a very scary guy with horrible intentions and methods, who has Batman captured in a completely different country and suddenly rips his shirt off. Wouldn't you be scared if something like that happened to you?
@Wheeljack35 Actually he has been told that Bruce Wayne is Batman several times but he usually laughs at the idea and kills whoever told him. More recently, Oberon Sexton (the Joker in disguise as a hero) got close enough to the Batman family that there's no chance he doesn't know Batman's whole deal.
My guess? The Joker worked out Batman's identity years ago, but he never wanted to simply kill Bruce Wayne - he wants to push Batman in to destroying himself and everything he stands for.
David Warner should have won an Emmy or some other sort of award for his amazing voice work here, and it's absolutely criminal that Kevin Conroy never did (Other than an Annie nomination for an episode of 'Batman Beyond').
@CrazyLazyMonkey Definitely. I've said this on the comment lists of several other videos and I guess I should apologize beforehand for repeating it, but I thought reworking their relationship by making Ra's al Ghul none other than Batman's Sensei was nothing short of brilliant. =)
actually it's a group of race, but anyway i didnt mean to be offensive, just caught me off gaurd cause i was used to seeing them being portrayed as ninjas, but now that ive seen this episode it all makes sense.
ah nah i didn't mean to refer that to you, i referred it to the creators of the show, they portrayed arabs as the evil doers, a typcal stereotype..which is odd, because i don't know why america loves to make ppl think ppl from that area of the world are bred to be evil, drives me crazy lol.
