  • ok, just stumbled across these today, in fact been watching them all back to back thus far. you do a great job.... I fell out of my chair and almost broke a kidney when you did the tall & short bit..... seriously.....

  • @eberik Glad you liked it!

  • I laughed my ass off at tall and short bit.

  • @lockman776 What other advantage is there to being short?

  • I now like being short, thank you.

  • @andrewjacksonbr There are benefits!

  • How long does one of the game sessions last?

  • @nereus69 Three to four hours, usually.

  • @fean77 I would name aquanauts after Pathfinder characters, but we've recently had a dramatic influx of new volunteers / suicidal maniacs.

  • You look way too much like my brother.

  • @scoutfreak1 So he's dashing too then, eh?

  • very entertaining to watch :). Advantages of small: you don't hit your head so often, you can sneak through underneath tables, you can go unnoticed in tall grass ;). But as you said you had to make this all up on the spot, very nice :D.

  • @Tschenggo If only I had your pure mind at the time!

  • @clackclickbang no worries, it was a lot funnier this way :D

  • They always open the cursed book. Always.

'Fiddling bard' sounds like a swear of some sort.

Why did they believe the bone wight? I know I wouldn't...

Your players are easy to shock. I would put them into catatonia... I've used zombie whores before...

  • @tetsubo57 Curiosity killed the gnome.

    He fiddles and tumbles!

They were having a stupid session. However, I did have them use Knowledge: Dungeoneering, and upon a successful roll they knew that Bone Wights (whatever the hell they are) are generally quite affable and friendly providing they're not hungry.

They weren't appalled as much as bemused. It has become a recurring joke since that session..

  • o..o I am truly impressed how much DETAILS you came up with under pressure o..O - I suppose no one of the palyers realised you made all up on the spot ? (well wrong term here but still ;) )

  • @kailrim Nobody did at the time, but I have since revealed to them that it was mostly improvised.

  • would love to sit in on one of your gaming sessions sounds like you guys have a lot of fun. I thought the joke was great its always good to add a little comic relief to a game helps take away the dark tones just enough that it doesnt seem out of place (your always going to get people like that no matter the setting). In my fallout campagin weve got a ghoul who boasts that he can hide anything (usually useful) objects about inside his person although hes not proud of it at the same time.

  • @Orkman That ghoul sounds thoroughly pleasant. What kinds of items has he stashed inside himself?

  • @clackclickbang keys, firearms, a stimpak ( kinda tricky) explosives and even plot items if he decides it cant get to enemy hand. He mostly coughs them up when we need them other times its not good to dwell on it.

  • @Orkman How... lovely!

  • @clackclickbang yeah i know

  • Giant Head CR 20. xD I dont think the line was out of place. I find it a bit of fitting black humor that this long dead creature still has a sex drive. Eerie, and comedic. Steve Erwin joke was great, bit of 4th wall breaking, but who doesnt love it? xD

  • @TabletopTitan CR20? Oh dear. Which book is it in?

I couldn't think of anything else off the top of my head!

  • @clackclickbang I was actually about to use it myself when I scrolled down and found the CR. I'll have to run through my library again because Im not positive which book, if I had to guess Libris Mortis. I'll give it a look and let you know.

  • @TabletopTitan I may have to depower it slightly. I don't own the Libris Mortis, so I'm making it up as I go along. I've given the head hair that entangles and constricts, eyes with ray effects, a massive tongue for grappling and then the mouth for swallowing whole, and tentacles out the base of it's neck for lashing and crushing effects. It also has explosive buboes like giant crawling hands.

  • I have a rude winesot of a dwarf character who has very similar "pearls of wisdom" about being short and its advantages. I think I've used that Baldur's Gate II quote of "Oi, what's thick, hard, low to the ground, and often in me hand?.... Me axe handle!"

  • @Onionkid99 Dear lord.

  • wow, twice in about a week's time. we'll see you on the improv theatre circuit soon no doubt. i have to ask if the players knew or became aware that the session in the bone tower was all improvisation ? hope not, because if you'd left out that spoiler for us, i would not have known. surely.

nice monsters. might nick the blood magus. very good.

being over six feet myself i can attest to running out of bed, as it were. i have said things too that make me wonder...

    ta

  • @23penguins32 I'll be treading the boards before you can say Jumping Jack Flash!

They did become aware afterwards, when I had to check with them what we'd done in that session. I couldn't remember some of it, so I needed their recollections for notes.

  • @clackclickbang i have given up trying to decipher my quickly scrawled notes taken while improvising something.

    Flash.....?

  • @23penguins32 Ah-AH!

  • @clackclickbang he'll save everyone of us !

  • @23penguins32 Flash!

  • @clackclickbang Ah-AH !

  • @23penguins32 I love Brian Blessed by the way.

  • @clackclickbang Absolutely. Did you read about the bit in the Savoy where another patron said Flash Gordon was a bit crap ? Apparently he throttled the guy and stormed off. I heard a radio presenter say something like : Brian does everything in such a BIG way, he didn't just storm off - he hurricaned off.

I enjoyed that. Because yes, he does. Great actor. Couldn't believe how old he is. I'll not look that good at his age, for sure.

  • @23penguins32 I did indeed. I say good on Brian!

  • @clackclickbang If he cast off one of his own shoes, I'd do the same

  • @23penguins32 I would climb a mountain with that man.

  • @clackclickbang I would swim the sea with him, just watch for the massive wake

  • What did you have the two players whose characters were killed by their failed Fortitude saves do for the entire session?

  • @rabbit95823 Fortunately we were without two of our other players, so they picked up their characters!

  • @clackclickbang excellent. I enjoy this series very much. Thank you for taking the time to post these. :)

  • @rabbit95823 My pleasure, and thank you very much for watching.

  • yes! i love this series.

  • @Iamthemaster2 Thank you!
