I would think the bycycles aren't doing much good to foot paths.
But a bored public wants everything turned into a carnival ride.
I was up there 50 years ago, it was desolate, a few real hikers was all you'd see.
On top of kinder is a marshland or bog, installing stone footpaths will lead to worse problems by channeling runoff.
Theres better places to see.
