  • Hallelujah To God !

  • I completely agree with Bzicnephrilis, he was so young and talented and yet God called him home. My heart truly does out to his family. Its hard to see a family member get diagnosed with cancer and I am so fortunate to still have my mom. Andy was a great example of what faith and determination will accomplish no matter what the circumstances are. God bless him and may he rest in peace!!!

  • That is one killer performance!

  • luv luv luv this song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Astonishingly powerful. I know they are all in the spirit world thanking the Canadian Tenors for this wonderful tribute.

  • Wow, just wow.

  • The way they show Andy...it's like he's enterring heaven...

  • Where ever Andy Whitfield is now, he is still kicking ass!

  • Ever since Justin Beiber, I've had less respect for Canada. Respect fully restored :]

  • @SilverWings8182006 Don't forget Michael Buble is from Vancouver, BC

  • I wish they could've done more for Andy Whitfield on the footage, but still an awesome tribute

  • I have three favorite renditions of this song. The Tenors, kd lang at the Olympics, and Rufus Wainwright. All are Canadians!! They're all unique, and after dozens of repetitions I still love hearing them. Simply outstanding each one.

  • This has to be one of the most beautiful renditions of this song ever. Amazing.

  • Thanks again, Simon.....for the video.....

  • I cried when I saw Andy... forever our spartacus <3

  • Andy Whitfield ... <3

  • I got chills. This was amazing.

  • RIP Leslie Nielsen

  • Didn't they leave out Jeff Conaway?

  • the best part of the entire emmy's!

  • @africansoulsista I couldn't agree more!!

  • Shed many a tear during this!!!

  • Andy Whitfield, way too young. Got a lump in my throat.

  • @garnet0101 he was way 2 young 2 die. he died of cancer

  • Yes, this really touched my heart. Some woman wrote that it was rude. She complained about something else too so whatever. It got to me.

  • R.I.P Elizabeth Taylor

  • Maybe next year steve jobs will be on the list too.Just as honorable mention. R.i.p all of them. Still can't believe that Ryan dunn died that early. To soon!

  • RIP Ryan Dunn.

  • SOOOOO AMAZING

  • FANTASTIC!

  • still gives me chills everytime i hear it

  • I agree that this is the best rendition of this song I have ever heard. The arrangement is perfect, harmony, reverb, strings, guitar, drums....perfect. Best part of the whole show.

  • I really want this copy with these performers ... how would I get it?

  • They are incredible! & I was also crying when I saw Andy Whitfield. He was an amazing actor.

  • andy whitfields death...continues to disturb me. i was legitimately crying when i first saw this.

  • These are some of my favourite verses from the original song :)

  • This is a different version of the lyrics from any version I have ever heard.

  • when i saw Andy Whitfield i was balling

  • Just beautiful

  • Beautiful! Thank you for sharing.

  • Honestly.. Better than the original.

  • It's good to see they gave the song a whole new atmosphere. Before, all I could imagine was the awkward sex scene from "Watchmen". XP

  • Is it just me or did Elizabeth Taylor deserve a bigger slot?

  • REST IN PEACE!!! ANDY WHITFIELD!!! THE LEGENDARY SPARTACUS!!! YOU WILL BE MISSED!!!

  • @BirdIsDaWordTV WHILE I ENJOYED ANDY WHITFIELD'S RENDITION, AND WAS SORRY TO HEAR OF HIS PASSING, THERE IS ONLY ONE LEGENDARY SPARTACUS, HIS NAME IS KIRK DOUGLAS.

  • This whole memoriam touched my heart -3

@ Ryan dunn's photo I instantly got tears! I'm so glad to see his death recognized and added in a memorial on a "family like channel" other then MTV

Sleep well Ryan we love you! -3

&& R.I.P to the many others, you will be missed :,(

  • Unbelievably moving.

  • @3rdigloo lol, David Foster told them the same thing! I've been a serious fan for over a yr and follow everything I find on them. Youtube has numerous videos of them not only singing, but also of interviews from appearances they've made. Jill Ann Siemens brought them together & Clifton replaced Jamie McKnight. You can get info from their website, FB, their CD & Google, then just go from there. The CT's are dynamite and the sky is the limit for them. Enjoy them and their music. Get to a concert!

  • I can't help it but I prefer the Buckley version...

  • was i the only straight guy crying during this preformence

  • @TheJoey525 no

  • @TheJoey525 no

  • Once again, this made me tear up. Best cover EVER!

    3:33-3:45

2:38-2:45 That part ALWAYS gets me...:'(

    4:09-4:22

  • Listening to these men sing gives me chills!!! WONDERFUL!

  • Outstanding performance. Earth moving. Outside of Jeff Buckley, it was the best version I've ever heard. The high point of the Emmys.

  • @3rdigloo absolutely wonderful performance by The Canadian Tenors! Making it even more spectacular was that they performed it in front of millions of people! As for who is the better looking CT, I personally think that they are all very attractive men! BTW, Fraser recently married Kelly Levesque, the female singer opposite Tyler Hamilton of Due Voci:(

  • i think this is the best version of hallelujah i've ever heard... i'm proud to be canadian

  • this version blows the original out of the water WOW!!!!

  • : This was amazing! I cried through the entire performance.

  • Cuidate mucho donde quiera que estes Andy whitfield. We will miss you so much

  • die verleihung war sensationell... und dieses der emotionalste moment !!

  • This performance made me cry as well. I loved Andy Whitfield...what an incredible actor...RIP everyone...PTL.

  • Ryan Dunn :(

  • RIP, Ryan Dunn. We'll all miss ya, buddy.

  • My fav part was 00:24 - 00:31 :)

  • RIP Andy Whitfield, Champion! You are gone way too soon...

  • RIP Ryan Duhn

  • This was the best in memoriam persormance I have seen at an award show.

  • I only watched the Emmys because I knew they were coming on. They did amazing<333

  • excellent, you guys are making it difficult, cause up to now Rufus Wainwright's rendition was my favourite. Christopher

  • That was so beautiful.

  • This song has soo many version's but i think that each version is so special..this is just lovely

  • Beautiful, simply beautiful.

  • This is so beautiful. Why can't popular music today be more like this?

  • I almost cried when they showed Dunn. I wasn't expecting that :')

And oh my God, I didn't even know John Dye was dead! He was fantastic on Touched by an Angel

  • i love these guys they are hilarious in person!!

  • Espen Lind(on guitar), Askil Holm, Alejandro Fuentes, Kurt Nilsen and these guys tie for the best hallelujah version. But im thinking that these guys take the lead

  • Best "in Memory of...." section of the Emmys ever done-

    great song- great performance.

  • I thought this song was finaly given its best version. The Canadian Tennors should always be remembered for this song the only problem i had with it was the cord at 3:04. The cord just seemed way to heavy. Other wise i give this 5 and a half stars

  • R.I.P Leslie Nielson.

One of the funniest comedians out there.

  • i dont really know any of the other actors/directors but if there fans are going through the same pain i am for Andy Whitfield then i know it cant be easier for them either :/ </3 R.I.P. Andy Whitfield and all these other talented actors/directors you were all inspirations for us all<3

  • Andy whitfield <3

  • The first time I ever heard this melody, it was in the final episode of the 3rd season of The West Wing...a version by Jeff Buckley. It was a scene and a song never to be forgotten.

  • Elizabeth Taylor <3

  • I love so much they had "Uncle Frank" listed. The song is beautiful and the boys did a beautiful job with it. I'm sure it meant a lot to Jimmy Kimmel.

  • Beautifully done and wonderful to see Emmy nominee Bill Erwin honored for his seven decades in show business! "The Old Man" in "Seinfeld" was one his most memorable roles but Erwin has been on television since the late 40s and only retired in 2006. What an amazing career and what an extraordinary man he was!

  • i never imagined i could be this sad and heart broken by the death of a complete stranger a person i didnt know and probably would have never met miss u so much Andy :,( hopefully well meet on the other side.

  • @Slither3223....i completely feel the same way. i am so connected to him for some odd reason. i feel like ive lost someone in my own family.

  • Goodbye June Cleaver, you were mom to all of us.

  • Nice job Canadian Tenors!

  • RIP Andy Whitfield.

  • his pic instantly made me cry. i dont know why i am so connected to this man. his death truly saddens me.

  • @electricspacegirl It was very unexpected what happen to him.

  • @electricspacegirl how did he die

  • @DJDALESS2 non-Hodgkin lymphoma

  • @electricspacegirl wow thats terrible

  • @DJDALESS2 lol i didnt think it was very good either....

  • @06rockee ok smartass

  • I can't get over the true beauty of the human voice. These guys are absolutely awesome!

  • beautiful

  • R.I.P. Uncle Frank

  • Rip Andy Whitfield... great song.

  • This is a awesome tribute, It caught me off guard last night because our chaplain would play this song when we would lose one of our soldiers when we were in Afghanistan and it did my brothers justice just like those fine actors..... people call us heros but the people who can give us a laugh or take our mind off of where we are even if its just an hour makes all the difference. So RIP to the fine people in the tribute and to my Fallen Brothers at the 10th Mountain Division

  • But this is probably (at least tied) the best version of hallelujah. i also love the new verses they added.

  • @starkreality70 The verses are not "new". Cohen wrote many, many verses for this song. No one ever performs all of them because it would make the song very long. Various people who cover the song pick and choose the verses they like the most.

  • @starkreality70 Jeff Buckley FTW.

  • i miss leslie

  • Andy Whitfield <3

    =(

  • Such a beautiful tribute to all those who had passed this year... So sad though. Rest in peace, to all those who are gone. :(

  • Wonderful tribute....

  • WOW. Best version ive ever heard of this song!

It brought tears to my eyes && made these deaths much harder to face all over again :'(

    R.I.P <3

  • @MelissWebster Really? You've never heard Jeff Buckley's version?

  • @electricspacegirl Not until you just said this, so I looked him up. His version isnt bad either :)

  • @MelissWebster Jeff Buckley's version is the most gut wrenching and emotional. RIP to him too. :(

  • I've got goosebumps. Amazing.

  • WOWWWWWWW absolutely fabulous !!!!!

  • amazing!

  • This was the best version I have ever heard. I had goosebumps

  • Absolutely beautiful song . . . well done! I hope they release a version with the same acoustics on CD.

  • This was beautiful. I like it almost as much as Jeff Buckley's. Almost. And that's high praise.

  • Great vocals and stirring instrumentals created an incredible rendition. Wow.

  • A beautifully touching tribute. <3 these guys!

  • Simply beautiful! Gave me goosebumps. Thanks for posting!

  • I saw this and just died.... I love this this is the best version of this song ive heard
