Do what he does in the video and stay at the far end by the arrows, since it takes a while for him to go all the way down you hit him in the back with Lv 1 arrows until he turns around, then aim for his face. Use the "Inferno Ninpo" when he uses the "blue mask" because there is no way to avoid it otherwise. The fish will give you health and Ninpo. GL.

i've beatin the game on every difficulty. idc what anyone says this is the hardest boss in the game, but when you fight him with maxed out scythe and staff, and have void ninpo it's not that hard...and i guess having a bigger health bar helps also haha
He's not that tough, hard for an early boss but you should be able to do this without being hit if you're good and watch his patterns.

charge combo when he shoots electricity balls, and the wind around Ryu will through them off. if he gets close enough the combo will hit him without you being electrocuted
and arrows to the face of course... Infact the only real risk of being hit is if he gets you in his mouth.

Personally tho I'd rather have a challenging game than one that u can breeze through wit ease. It takes the fun out of it. But can be aggravating half the time. This is a really good game! I recommend you try it out.

This boss is very random, so you can get lucky and kill him fast, but for the rest of us it's not that simple. I beat him mentor with just using the bow. The only attack you have to worry about is the ghost fish coming after you. When he sends the fish after you, have your bow charged, and if you wait, you will see that the fish tend to converge into a point in front of you. Wait till as long as you dare and at the last moment let the arrow go and it should kill the all the fish.
ohh. i just got this game it rocks and not saying im better then any of you but i kicked his butt on 1st just by standing in the same spot and chargig arrow attacks if that helps anyone
of all the boss battle fights ive seen for this guy, none of them have been surprisingly effective. it would seem there's no "easy" way around this guy.
On Warrior mode, use your Level 2 Kinpo when those little fishes come and aim for the Boss's Face instead of the fishes because you're temporarily invulnerable when you use your Magic. If you have no Kinpo left, switch to your Staff and time your YYY move when the fishes come. Also, for the big face I ran all the way to the the right and then when it came close I did a Reverse Wind in the opposite direction followed by that Swallow Sword Aerial move.
I'm not bragging, I'm just honestly asking if people had trouble with this boss. I beat it on my second try. Once you figure out how to kill it it's so incredibly easy...

Ok, I had to update. I got SO LUCKY and managed to kill this one using 1 healing herb. I thought it should be in my game vids; but only my first death was. He is hard; but obviously not unbeatable. I still can't get over how lucky I got!!

Well if your a beginner of ninja gaiden games . i prefer You Bring like 3 herbs of life and 1 grain of life. and be ready of your aiming .

....NO....use your Lunar staff to kill those "flying fishies" and when that blue face comes at you, you use you NINPO spells, fire cause then the face cant hurt you if your casting a spell.Also would be good idea to go over to the left, and not stay on the ride side in one spot the whole time, you got to move on the other side and kill him.

I finally beat this boss after so many attempts. While I don't deny my average skill, it is the horrible camera that contributes to my fail trials. When ever the boss attacks me with those blue thingies, the camera kept focusing on Ryu while in fact what I need is it shows me where those blue things come from or how closed the boss is to me.

Best way to beat this boss is to not let him get close, charge your bow to max and aim at the head, dont waste shots on the body if you have a chance to hit the head. When the metal fish come out, it's just best to block and take a little bit of damage. I beat him using only 1 spirit grain.
stop the mini fish with shurkien, sometimes u can get them all in one go, but its a good way to stop most of em from smashing u, i hate this boss though. but once (and i repeat once) i shot him for half his health in 1 arrow O_O im currently playing through Mentor mode (very hard mode i would beleive) im proly on my 70th death by now lol

Yeah, the stupid thing about this boss is those annoying fish fiends he sends out. Coming from a person who can beat both ishataros and the other greater fiend at the same time on Master Ninja mode without getting hit even once, I find dodging those fish to be really hard.
When I first beat him, the damn game froze on me. I tried again and beat him. Might sound funny but I stood close to him so I dont get hit with those electric shots he throws at you. Took me like 4 tries.

....NO....use your Lunar staff to kill those "flying fishies" and when that blue face comes at you, you use you NINPO spells, fire cause then the face cant hurt you if your casting a spell.Also would be good idea to go over to the left, and not stay on the ride side in one spot the whole time, you got to move on the other side and kill him.

ok um i was fightin this guy and i got a massive glitch.... he charged at me and then just disappeared behind me... and when i tried to follow him with the camera it zoomed out into a view of the whole lvl surronded by blackness... i played arround a little and couldnt get anythin to happened so i quit... anyone else have this happen lol

beat this guy without usin any healin, just stand in middle and shoot at his face with maxed bow, and when the face comes, either block or run lick hell.
another thing, I swear that team ninja were high when they thought up the idea for this retard.

holy shit i finally beat this guy ahahaha,so i still have hope.Man you pretty much gotta move around and do the shit this guy does and listen to others peoples advice looking killing those small guys with staff.BTW when he shoots that blue face,the BEST thing you can do was use your fire spell, idk why but the face cant harm you then, and i beat him this way easily.You dont need to use your spell on the smaller guys,hell no dont.

i always take a good amount of health from him, but once that blue face comes, im helpless, and i even try to dodge it.there is just no way to beat this guy with 4 herbs that dont heal much!!!!pllzzzz

I finally beat this boss after so many attempts. While I don't deny my average skill, it is the horrible camera that contributes to my fail trials. When ever the boss attacks me with those blue thingies, the camera kept focusing on Ryu while in fact what I need is it shows me where those blue things come from or how closed the boss is to me.

Best way to beat this boss is to not let him get close, charge your bow to max and aim at the head, dont waste shots on the body if you have a chance to hit the head. When the metal fish come out, it's just best to block and take a little bit of damage. I beat him using only 1 spirit grain.

stop the mini fish with shurkien, sometimes u can get them all in one go, but its a good way to stop most of em from smashing u, i hate this boss though. but once (and i repeat once) i shot him for half his health in 1 arrow O_O im currently playing through Mentor mode (very hard mode i would beleive) im proly on my 70th death by now lol

He should have been using the art of inferno when tha the little fish comes out and me personally; huh I hate to haave to use items if you have to use items you never really learn how to defeat enemies effeciently or the right way. but I understand I hated this boss.

you get lvl 2 and 3 arrows at in the first lvl just hold the fire button for a couple of seconds as you would to do ur ultimate attack with ur melee????

right im watching this, and looking at how you play, you get hit alot more than i did, you he does less damage to you than he does to me, liek the wapp rushing move takes off mroe than half my health, and i am doing less damage to than you are, wtf is up with that?

he's aiming for the boss his eyes, if u hit him right in one, he drops on the floor and u can beat it with ur melee weapon.
happened to me i beat it without taking damage at all lol.
he didnt even shoot lightning balls or fishes at me, he died in 5 minutes. :)

uhhh that would work, idiot, if he didn't move around so much... if you knew anything, you'd see that you need to get a clear shot on either his eyes or his face to take off a good deal of health each time, and that usually is hazardous to the player, seeing as he can rush you at any moment

Yeah, the stupid thing about this boss is those annoying fish fiends he sends out. Coming from a person who can beat both ishataros and the other greater fiend at the same time on Master Ninja mode without getting hit even once, I find dodging those fish to be really hard.
