I find your anylsis quite interesting. A few notices i would add:

-tectonic plate movements did happen when the well of eternity exploded (now the maelstrom)

-Wel lyou mentioned eastern winterspring. I think the elevation could be made just by the explosion of the well of eternity. And later broken down like a fyord(like in Skandinavia).

But anyway, great work - loved it:)

This is really neat! It kind of has a Discovery Channel feel ^^ Makes the 'World' seem a bit more logical :)
