I don't think parents should be exempt from instructing their children. If the State mandates children to be schooled for 6, or 7 hours a day, then the school should also be required to teach the Golden Rule. At one time in America, it was mandated that 3 Biblical verses were to be discussed in class. Of course, the moronic 1962 Supreme Court "decision" of church-state separation, erased this common sense practice.

Parents are resposible for there clidren until they are old enough to take care of themselfs, parents can give up the big house, new car, etc and home school, teach their children whats important, protect them, know their freinds, but most parents are to lazy to parent, and leave it up to everyone else, daycare, school, etc , Priorities!

Right on, man. I have a son nearly 17 now. I try to talk to him about things. Some days he opens up, some days he just goes to his room. I can't control what he does. He has to make his own mistakes if he's ever going to be a man.
