  • what airliner :)?

  • Comment removed

  • Boeing pilots are real pilot

    Airbus pilots are computer operator

  • @bulukuda

Spoken like a complete noob. This is a Boeing 737 NG, it is a Fly By Wire aircraft like the Airbuses. Even if you are the best computer operator in the world, flying a plane is another ball game altogether, it is never THAT easy.

  • @Abymcdan well the 737 is not Fly by wire, still there isn't anything a boeing pilot can do that an airbus pilot can't

  • Comment removed

  • @Abymcdan The only part of the 737NG that's somewhat "fly by wire" is the the thrust control system. Although if if you call it fly by wire, you're going to get laughed at even if the person knows what you are talking about.

  • wow , amazing . . . wanna be a pilot someday . . . lolz

  • Love the Boeing computers. and their planes.

  • I didn't know you can "land at a cockpit" I wonder how that works?

  • @HDMSFlight haha good one

  • It's -800 not /800 idiot!

  • I have a jéroboam of "spumante" ready when an air accident occur with fucking aerosoling plane. STOP CHEMTRAILS! aircrap org - tanker-enemy com

    geoengineeringwatch org

  • @SuperUnknownvariable It is the trimmer wheel. The autopilot automatically spins it to keep the aircraft stable.

  • @SuperUnknownvariable that is the autotrim

  • hi! my kid , my name is fernando, I'm of mexico

  • his left hand holds hundreds of life there. Really brave men.

  • @kawsihen id say his right hand!!

  • Would be nice to see the runway next time...otherwise a good video..

  • that's an awesome aircraft

    I love it

  • it's a life of switching switches on then off and back on again. it must be awfull to sleep with those noises going round in your head. :))) great vid ! and thanx for not putting wankey music to it .

  • i'd rather to be Airbus pilot. more performance, more easier

  • well, i'm captain NG. when a copilot lands, the captain must wait the speed taxi to take the control. This i learned when i was a copilot. Please use the full reverse thrust next time. Don't invent, follow the manual.....

  • ayamhappy

  • te quedo buenisimo el video, espero algun dia subirme a uno y grabar desde la cabina, jajajajajaja

hay nos vemos en el foro.

    saludos

  • at 1:03-1:04 person on the left in the view operates a single lever to the left of throttles - what is it ? and what is the chime for ?.. is it related to the operation of the control ? and is there a detent on the clamshell control as you see a motion on the arm that l am familiar with as a mechanic that would be there to prevent operation of the control without conscious effort

  • @pzmtuthcvpvl The lever on the left is the speedbrake/spoiler controls. When landing they go up to slow the aircraft down and to break the lift over the wings. The captain on the left uses the lever to put them down again after landing. I don't know why we hear the chime here, it could be the cabin crew calling the pilots or something.

  • @FS2004AviationPro okay - l assume the chime is not related and that is why l asked ~ l have always wondered how much lift is "dumped" as l saw them used on approach to Salt Lake City to dump altitude while maintaining normal pitch and control surface response

  • @pzmtuthcvpvl The chime setting is probably on "auto", so there is an automatic chime to the cabin when: The gear is raised after takeoff The slats are retracted The gear is deployed for landing The spoilers are retracted on the landing roll.

  • :27 was that the trim wheels?

  • @vroomba03 yes

  • @vroomba03 Yes. Both wheels at the sides of the throttles are the trim wheels. They move automatically when the autopilot trims the airplane or when flying manual you can trim with the switches on the left of the yoke.

  • NO GPWS :*(

  • Comment removed

  • These airplane has more switches than my car , how many switches will a pilot use

  • @t22fffffffff which is normal, cause there so many more systems in the plane than in your car, basically most switches will be used in normal operation, but ALL switches are meant to be used given the situation(emergency or not & everything else).

  • By the title of this video I thought that an aircraft was going to land inside the cockpit of a 737-800...I was disappointed :(

  • What does "Aproaching Minimums" mean? Is it speed related?

  • @UncleJoe777 It means they are just approaching the decision height. The minimum altitude/height where they will decide to land or go around. At that point "Minimums" will be called.

  • @UncleJoe777 minimums is the altitude that the pilot makes the decision whether to land or not. So it's just a warning to tell them that you need to be making a decision. The altitude of minimums depends on the type of airplane, and the type of approach. :)

  • It is amazing how everything is easy to survey when the cockpit is designed to have a number of digital screens.

Otherwise, I am the captain of B737-300 in the Serbian airline JAT Airways

    We have available with 14 "B737-300" and 4 "ATR72-200".

I do not know if we will in the near future get a bit more modern aircraft.

  • pilot is my dream!

  • @ryanwongcy1 I don't consider becoming a pilot a dream, a consider it an objective that has to be accomplished at any costs. There's nothing in this world that can get in my way to that cockpit, absolutely NOTHING!

  • Being a pilot is not a job.... It's a dream come true!

  • @umpalumpa101909 it is sometimes a job.

  • @umpalumpa101909 I'm wainting for mine to come true !

  • @boxmovili You and me both!

  • @umpalumpa101909 It is. I love it!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @umpalumpa101909 OMG You must be on fucking drugs.

  • automatic speed brake? :O

  • @emiloss91 They have pulled the lever little so it has "activated" so when the wheels touch the ground something in the plane reacts and automaticlly the speed brakes come up on the wing

  • @Deltapilot96 I think there isn't that option. thank you for reply ;)

  • @emiloss91 Well there is on all modern aircrafts.

  • @emiloss91 The speedbrakes are automatic but pilots usually check it by handling the lever manually.

  • why ? " Normally, speedbrakes are armed to extend automatically. Both pilots should monitor speedbrake extension after touchdown. In the event auto extension fails, the speedbrake should be extended immediately. " So the manual does not say nothing about manually raise the speedbrake lever (FCT 737 NG (TM) pag. 3.19 ). Maybe you are confused with a "Rejected Takeoff". The QRH in the maneuvers chapter says " Raise SPEED BRAKE lever. " So don't invent, follow the manual.....

  • Is it me or did they leave the reversers on for a while?

  • 0m25s What the heck is that that flicks up by itself near the throttle quadrant? I've never seen that before...

  • @OSBUK That is the speed brake lever. It moved to the up position at touchdown because it was armed during approach. Every Boeing 737, 727, 717, 747, 757, 767, 777, and 787 has this lever and it is used during almost every normal landing.

  • where is the GPWS sistem? in the departure airport?

  • @TheBadameco

    It's built into the aircraft.

  • @agent648 I know!!!

I only said that because the GPWS only said " 50 "

  • @poskyflyer i think theres shortage of pilots because all the good pilots are now quiting because they got their salary cut off because of some problems with all the airlines and i think now they recruit some pilots that arent experienced with less flying hours and less salary... which i dont think is good

  • i wonder if they normally use autobrake?

  • @Rezzmee they do !

  • @Rezzmee im a real world pilot and we do use autobrake im flying for thomas cook

  • @chriller13 i c, i hate using it on flight simulator cuz it makes my plane to fully stop on the runway, i prefer to exit at the runway right away after landing (15-20knots), so i just manually use the brake.

  • @Rezzmee well, i guess it's because you have turned autobrate max? or 3? it has to stand on 2, 3 and max is only for emergencies :)

  • @chriller13 i always put it on 2, cuz yeah 3 and max is for emergency, i read it somewhere. Is there a way to disengage it after landing, i mean a keybind so i dont have to go to 2d cockpit.

  • @Rezzmee i dont know, but i guess yes, i just dont know much about the shortcuts in fsx :)

  • @Rezzmee

    Yus :o

  • what was the flap setting on this landing

  • @airlinefoodprez25 Full flaps

  • @FlyingHeavyMetal737 It wasn't full flaps. It was on 30, not 40 which is full flaps. You can see it on a small round screen in the cockpit, just up to the right of the landing gear lever.

  • this video should be renamed "flying into white light".

  • @bodidley70 hahaha thats soo funny dude

  • I noticed that once you touched down and speed brake deployed that when you were still slowing down you but the speed brakes back down with reverse thrusters still on. i thought you don;t dis arm speed brake until your off the runway

  • What happened to the rest of GPWS calls?

  • @AviationHD1 i know right i was about to say that

  • Please explained to me, the function from switches?

  • @stillwettingpants Which switches in particular?

  • anybody recognize how much bigger the FO is?

  • remember, they are two

  • you would not want to get the runs while on a long flight

    you would kill the captin

    lol

    co pilot is just hot

  • Anybody here a pilot? I want to become one I don't know where to start

  • @Bikerboy1750 get your personal license...get many hours under your seat..get a job flying ANYTHING YOU CAN work up to flying for UPS FED-X ..than worj you way into Airliners...

my dads a pilot... AND ONE THING DONT START DRINKING it will progress into drinking all the time..pilot job stressfull with full days of bordum.....

  • @Bikerboy1750 just search pilot schools and be prepared to spend thousands. its easy

  • merci beaucoup. tres tres belle video.

  • i wonder what it is that makes the applicants for pilot positions really stand out when there are far fewer places than applicants for pilot jobs? the que for this job must be so big and alot of competition. what is it the airlines choose on who them employ. Flying experience or qualifications.

  • @Lunarlaserranging but theres a shortage of pilots right now

  • @Lunarlaserranging ...just get time in the seat...they look at time in the seat....fly anything you can all the time....

  • Wow. I saw you throttle to idle right after 50 feet and the spoiler engages automatically because you never touched it. You really kept that left hand on the throttle the whole time in anticipation, huh? I guess getting ready for reverse thrusters. Somebody else rationaized this too me in that the "auto" spoiler would be too confusing for most people to go over and pull the spoiler lever and then go back to the throttles to pull back for the reverse thrusters. Not to me it isn't.

  • The auto spoiler simply deploys when the landing gear touch down (and will automatically retract should the throttles be raised above that of flight idle) the reason the left (or right if captain flying) hand is not removed form the throttle is not in anticipation of reverse thruster deployment although it helps it is primarily incase a go around is to be enacted that the pilot flying already has his/her hand on the throttle to apply full power. Hope that makes sense. :)

  • it is all team work!

  • what is the pay range for this plane?

  • Get a grip you sad little fool!!!!!

  • whitch airline was this

  • yea i realized that almost seem like the whole world are pilots...

  • the difference between real pilots and simulator pilots, we can pause and use the restroom during landing.

  • @carnivalpride yeah

  • @carnivalpride oh sure...and if you crash noone die and you can click on "restart game"

  • @carnivalpride Unless youre on VATSIM, then youre really screwed :)

  • @carnivalpride no if you fly online! ;-)

  • @zbucham69 u can pause while flying online, u just freeze in the air

  • @Juankinator I know buddy, I use FS9 for years and technically yes, ofcourse you can freeze it midair. However all I struggle to explain is that pausing FS when online is completely against every network's basic rules.

  • @zbucham69 wat basic rules? its just a game u do whatever u want!

  • @Juankinator ok I will try to explain you again... ON+LINE=ONLINE (means playing along with other users/pilots in a common network like VATSIM, IVAO Simmilies etc...So for example if you are on final and you have another aircraft behind you, it is obvious that pausing FS is NOT a good practice, you actually fuck up the whole game). Google "VATSIM" and you will learn more. Cheers!

  • @zbucham69 I know wat is VATSIM dude, and im talking about regular online with gamepy servers, and pausing is something you will do in EVERY GAME. who cares if theres an aircraft behind you. when u pause the other aircraft will just see you freeze and thats all. just a game dude, just a game. we are not in a top line simulator here.

  • @Juankinator Sorry, I have not a clue what is happenning at the "regular" online servers, I've never been a gamer, I'm a simmer and that's kinda different exactly because a simulation targets to simulate the conditions and the procedures as much as possible. That's the fun part of it. Or else it would be called like "flyplaying" or smth. Now the grade of simulation is a totaly personnal matter, but some servers have rules and the "no pause & no time acceleration" in VATSIM are real, honestly.

  • @zbucham69 well next time say "no if you fly on VATSIM" cause when u say online u mean to general FSX servers (gamespy ones). thats the one the mayority of players use.

  • @Juankinator ok, just a question for my information please, how exactly does work a game in such a server? I mean is there AI traffic along with the players and are there any real ATCs or you play with the AI ones? Thanx!

  • @zbucham69 yes there is real ATCs. and theres no need of AI traffic when there is a bunch of people playing at the same time.

  • @carnivalpride

A real pilot can also do a piss by going around. Im not sure if the company and ATC would be very happy, and passengers lol.

  • @carnivalpride hahahahaha that's so true :D

  • everyone seems to be pilots on youtube.... = )

  • I am surprised any aircraft are ever in the sky! Surely all airline pilots are on youtube all day making smart arse comments?

  • I am sometimes :)

  • i know what are you guys talking about.i also started with flight simulator but now when i am on CPL,i have to say that i will NEVER double click the FSX icon AGAIN!!!completely different from flying in a real airplane.

  • in what way?

  • in way that you can feel even the slightest change in pitch

  • So your saying the major difference is mormemtum?

  • can you tell me please what means mormemtum?

  • Force, gforces

  • what I am trying to say is that everything is completely different.the feeling, the controls, the viewmode, the sensations.you should try once and convince yourself

  • mate, please make an analyse of my sentence and do tell me what is wrong.because i'm not a native american or british.i would gladly like to see how good you would speak romanian, which is one of the most fucked up languages in the world(in terms of grammar, because it comes from latin).and I also know 5 more languages so imagine what is in my head.blame me after that for my ambition of learning so much

  • honestly, that's the least of my worries right now.I've got a 5 kilograms Jeppesen manual to sutdy so I really don't have time for grammar and other stuff.Cheers!!!

  • ILS is better, it just basically takes off the work load on landing. the only time when i land manully in the simulator is when theres excellent visiblity and the weather is good.

  • but these are real pilots. theres a huge difference between real pilots and simulator pilots.

  • I was a simulator pilot then I became a real pilot :>

  • cool. im the same way. i started on simulators, and now im working on real fight time.

  • PPL ?

  • no man. im only 16. lol. im considered an airport bum, so i get flight time through other pilots who invite me to go up. i only log the time though when i get control of the aircraft.

  • I see...good luck for your future ;)

  • thanks. you too.

  • I never seen a copilot control the throttle, and in this case, everything else too.

  • what do you mean?

  • what was that at 0:24

  • the copilot trimmed the aircraft...

  • aha.. ok

  • elevator trim control

  • yeah it is the trimming but at first i though he dropped his tic tacs until i saw the trim wheels move

  • @loch70 Stabilizer trim wheel

  • aw, just fly the damn plane!!!

  • ILS Means: Instrument Landing system

  • THANK YOU SOMEONE FINALLY SAID SOMETHING DIFFERENT THEN google it gosh

    btw thx.

  • At 0:43, what is the 'whurring' noise coupled with the self-moving lever near the throttle levers?,.... just next to the left hand pilots right knee?

  • That is the speed-brake and is the specific sound for it.

  • @robaveley that is the speed brake lever. It moved to the up position because it was armed during approach.

  • Comment removed

  • What happen' with 40, 30, 20, 10 ?!?

  • man those spinners are annoying...why didn't it count down from 50

  • was that an ILS approach...>????

  • It was a visual one.

  • it was on autopilot so it must have been an ils approach

  • If you look carefuly you you'll see that the a/p is off.

  • you're right and you didn't hear the signal that comes when you turn the ap off

  • You can fly visual approach with autopilot engaged. Visual doesnt mean manual.

  • And what is a visual approach then?

  • Visual is, when you can see ground.

  • and you can land any way when the ATC says: visual approach?

  • When ATC say you to make visual aproach, you have to see ground, be oustside of clouds and continue by your own navigation straight to the airport and land. You can fly manualy or with autopilot engaged.

  • And, when you do a manual landing?

  • It's very relative. We can say, that almost every landing is manual, except when is low visbility (there are rules when autoland must be used) and for example when are pilots tired and they dont want to land manualy. It totally depends on pilot, very rarely on SOPs of the company.

  • I heard they are allowed to land manually with IFR rules?

  • Comment removed

  • IFR is throughout of each flight of any airliner. Autoland system can land the airplane only in special a and exactly defined conditions, so we can say - as I've already written - that almost every landing is manual, even flown with IFR.

  • and you dont need ILS engaged

  • como hiciste para convencer a los pilotos para que te dejasen estar en cabina?

  • pero si ay alante no se ve na!!!

  • funny!

  • 10 degress you have got to be joking

  • when u approach minimus do you keep the same approach speed?...or do you lower it?

  • same

  • not really....if u do 10 degrees doing the flare you'll tail strike :P
