1st off, you try doin all them tricks without them...vert is freakin scary man and number 2, when he was skating the combi pool at vans, they require helmets. plus, have u ever fallen more than 6 feet onto flat bottom of a bowl onto your head from a backside air??? yeah it hurts if u dont wear a helmet.
