I don't really care what Kerry meant 'cuz I think he's a douchebag, but in my small-town school, this is how it broke down: the best students academically became teachers, doctors, etc. One became a junkie. Those with mechanical aptitude became mechanics and carpenters (one of whom is an extremely successful contractor.) Those with little academic aptitude/few skills became meth heads, worked in factories, etc., or joined the military. Of the last, those in the military fared best.

Since 2003, the Iraq conflict has cost the Iraq people 655,000 lives. This figure is approximately 10 times greater than the deaths due to Saddam's idiocy during his entire tenure, including the chemical attacks.
The world is not safer for Saddam being gone either, as much as I detest him. Our policies in Iraq have created safe havens for extremists that Saddam would have never allowed in his country.
