@rovero Usually when your blower motor resistor goes bad you start to loose the speed settings on the blower motor. So if you have 4 speeds 1 or 2 of them may only work.
@1aauto alright so instead a bad acuator would make the all air to come out the defrost vents no matter what setting was selected? cause thats the problem with mine the heat/cooling works and the speeds work but i cant set it for the floor ot the dash vents or anything
@rovero That issue would be an actuator. What you may want to do is open the hood of the vehicle and check around the engine compartment to see if any vacuum lines have cracked or become undone from what they may have been connected to. It you can't find any vacuum line issues. The it could be the actuator that has gone bad. Hope this helps.
@1aauto okay got the actuator out and the thing that sticks out to change the blend door is either seized or just does turn easy so im just gonna put a new on in
figured it out, the group of vacuum lines under the glove box, one of the lines at that spot came undone just like you said reconnected and now it works again thanks for the help one of the best resources on youtube
@rovero Glad we could help. I actually had the same issue happen on a 4.0 Jeep Grand Cherokee. There's a vacuum line that falls off of the engine block on the drivers side and causes the vent door flap to stay stuck on the defrost. It happens on the Jeep Wranglers too.
thanks for the video! ford wanted to charge me over $100.00 bucks to replace the fan motor blower and resister on my 2002 ford taurus. thanks for showing me how to install it.
DUDE!!!!! Thanks!!!
