Talent can come in a variety of ways, not just singing, dancing, acrobatics, etc. It takes pure talent/skill to build up the courage to jump from that height, to have the correct diving technique, and land successfully. Sure this maybe a 90 second act, but you can never tell whether he may survive or die. I'd say, this is 90 seconds well spent.

Terry Fator ruined this show by making the judges push for a headline act in Vegas, which only really happened for him. Even Fighting Gravity did not get a show. That pretty much guarantees the singers are going to win most of the slots, because they can bring a fresh song every week, but an act like this can't continue to top itself.
What people don't realize is that even though this show was meant to give people an opportunity for a headline act in vegas, most of the ppl and winners on this show don't start shows in vegas. They do tours and other stuff. Most ppl are just in it for the money.
you can't make a 90 minute show out of this. you just can't. you can't even get 90 seconds out of this! i can't believe he went through, its so stupid. people say "it's unique! it's incredible! i'd like to see you do it!" well, i'd like to see you yoyo like Ian. or sing like Lys. ugh.
The only thing he can do is minor changes. 'Making the height higher' or 'jumping through fire'. I don't understand who would pay to see him jump in a pool for 1 hour.. But of course, 1/4 of the time he is climbing the ladder to get back up on his jumping post.

I was shocked that this guy went through over Seth. I wouldn't pay a penny to see a man dive over and over again into a kiddie pool, even if he jumps into a pool of fire or knives or whatever! I find it surprising that people keep saying that they have never seen something like this before. I remember seeing jumpers like this on televised talent shows in the late 80s. I don't remember how high they were jumping from, as I was a kid, for all I know it could've been Professor Splash himself, since he's been doing it for so many years. Look the judges made a very bad mistake.
The only thing he can do is minor changes. 'Making the height higher' or 'jumping through fire'. I don't understand who would pay to see him jump in a pool for 1 hour.. But of course, 1/4 of the time he is climbing the ladder to get back up on his jumping post.
Magic is always different. I thought it was a very exciting thing more than this because there is a thick mat under the pool. MAGIC IS ALWAYS DIFFERENT! And that's talent. Anyone can jump in.

The guy swifts his organs and tightens his muscles to absorb the Impact of the water. That takes skill and dedication. I remember this guy from Stan Lee's History channel show a few yrs ago. Eventually this stuff is going to get him killed. The human body can only take so much force and the impact one day is going to crush his ribs.

Pro-fessor Splash....You proved to me what humans can accomplish when they conquer fear...I am pleased to say that I saw a world record jump done live...Anyone who says it's not a Vegas headline act should have seen it in person...I was shocked when you stood up from the pool as I thought surely we will be dealing with our first disaster on set....You trully are a professional at what you do and I can't wait to see what you do next. The look on the crowds faces said it all. CONGRATULATIONS !!!!

How is he going to top this? Jump higher? OH. Add fire. Right. Some people already had fire to begin with.. He's just taking it one small step at a time until he gets to the top 12 or whatever it is...Instead of making a huge step topping last week's performance. There's not much more he can do.

As I was saying before, he could add fire or knives or even nails and maybe even do a few flips here and there (if he's able to) but I still would get bored with him after a few seconds or less. At least Seth could do more with his magic than this guy can do with his diving! Oh well, he's going thru as you know, and I guess we shall see how much more 'exciting' he gets next time!

I was shocked that this guy went through over Seth. I wouldn't pay a penny to see a man dive over and over again into a kiddie pool, even if he jumps into a pool of fire or knives or whatever! BORING! At least Seth was entertaining to watch! I don't understand why a lot of the acts didn't go through that were really amazing! And if any singers win this year again, why bother having any other talents on here other than singers?

He was extremely talented and versatile...they let that one big dark haired dude who's name I can't remember with dance moves that my 5 year old can do, go through, instead, if you know who I mean! i was so mad that this guy made it in over Seth, i turned to my mom last night and told her the line up and everyone i choose went through, then he went through i started like yelling through the tv. He's a good act but it's boring, all he can do is really go higher and that's not a show, thats a man jumping in a kiddie pool too me, just my opinion, everyone is entitled to one

I find it surprising that people keep saying that they have never seen something like this before. I remember seeing jumpers like this on televised talent shows in the late 80s. I don't remember how high they were jumping from, as I was a kid, for all I know it could've been Professor Splash himself, since he's been doing it for so many years. I agree with Howie, how can this turn into an hour-long act? Even a half-hour act?
