  • OK, little factoid here: did you know that the guys in the background (in this video from 1m06s onwards) actually sing "Frères Jacques"? Just like the Beatles did on the original. They came up with that idea, because it is the same melody.

  • great song,but.... nothing compares to the beatles performing it

  • That bass is not original? It should be a white spot too?

  • @sniperin223 Are you saying that bieber loser is better than a legend? By the way, I'm actually 13

  • @sniperin223 fuck you, justin bieber songs is full of bullshit just like your comment.

  • @sniperin223 come back here in fourty years and we'll all see how many Bieber songs we can all remember.

  • @tomdolan07 the funny thing is that bieber will be remembered. as that kid who looked like a girl and every one hated..........

  • @sniperin223 This is REAL music not some autotune shit

  • @sniperin223 so true....

  • One of my favourite bass lines

  • william campbell? it's a joke don't get mad

  • 22 idiotas+ en el mundo

  • thank god he changed that band. 2010 version is much more rocker and stronger...

  • thats only a 1/4 of the power

  • I was at his Giants Stadium concert back in '93. When I heard him and his band do this song, there was'nt a person there who did'nt have a smile on his or her face.

  • what date was this case i was born in 1993

  • @JeretLedger1985 The date was 15 June 1993. @ the Blockbuster Pavilion Charlotte NC, USA.

  • @musiclovinlady1 Damnit I was born June 17.

  • @JeretLedger1985

Obviously from the womb, you heard Sir Paul McCartney, and you decided you needed to get out and hear this awesome song.

  • @TheRandomfanboy Thats it exactly.

  • @musiclovinlady1 a few days short of his 51st birthday.

  • the beatles are sort of like big time rush... except the guitars

  • @thefirstak47

wow, you're such a fucking little joke.

the beatles are the most talented musicians of the last century, they created modern music, without their innovations you couldn't listen to any of todays music acts, and what the fuck is big time rush, i guess some gay ass stuff like jonas brothers or that shit.-

  • @OropherThranduil

    i think '' @thefirstak47 ''

meant the band rush, who have been around for nearly 40 years dude...

  • @Scythe0001

no, i know big time rush because of my 7 year old cousin, they're the NICK equivalent of Disneys Jonas Brothers, and the difference between the two is the JBs try to look like they play guitars while the BTR are just standing around doing boygroup shit.

  • Comment removed

  • @thefirstak47 Seriously???????? ;-D Aha Why you must be sufferin from a case of Helter Skelter?! PEACE!

  • @thefirstak47 please never compare the greatest band of all time to some stupid ass band of "pretty boys" who lip sync and don't know shit about making good music.

  • @thefirstak47 what????? uhmm. wow man...... thats just sad.

  • M.A.S.T.E.R

  • Paul McCartney...They have to cryogenically freeze him when he does go and revive him in 200 years. Beatles must somehow live on!!!

  • Forced vocals. I like Paul from the latest years. He has more concern about his art..

  • what a Legend

  • Limp version - all the K-I-C-K has gone, he`s got no 1 up there as a 2nd vocal to back him up with Lennon gone ; (

  • well old song, justin bieber is modern therefore better.

  • @felisberto2 u fail at common knowledge being modern doesnt make it better and beiber just sucks

  • @felisberto2

    so.. Bieber > beatles?

    lord you be trollin'

  • nice mullet.

  • If you play guitar for Paul Mcartney, covering the Beatles ,you have NO BUSINESS playing a strat into a chorus pedal and Marshal rig(no krang, wtf??)

Anything but an AC30 amp is blasphemy.

  • @spentonmediocrity Because making any kind of change to a song is bad right? Hurr.

  • @hojima

As if I ever said or implied that, that's a strawman. Good changes = still good, bad changes=bad. Single insipid sounding guitar on Paperback Writer = bad change.

  • @spentonmediocrity Either way it pales in comparison to him singing out of tune :s

  • @hojima

Lol,I thought a heated insult was headed my way...but sure, off pitch singing detracts too.You might wonder why Paul McCartney isn't a little more selective considering he can have almost anybody play for him...go figure.

  • @spentonmediocrity Oh yeah sorry I forgot, its the internet. Here goes: RAGHAGHAHGHAHG I HATE YOU FOR DISAGREEI:NG WITH ME GO DIE CAR FIRE STRANGLE MURDER. There, now order has returned to the youtubecommentverse.

  • @hojima :)

  • At least the microphone is keeping still.

  • ...John needs to be there, without John, there is no Beatles

  • @PwnPancake Last time I saw anything of Ringo he looked great.

  • idk how paul was able to perform this song without the beatles... if i did this without the beatles, i would cry on stage... how can he go on without john lennon?

  • @sacramentolove How can he go on, the same way any musician or creative person goes on, by writing songs and doing what you do...

  • @Keruaran ?

  • Paul's gonna live 'til he's 90. He looks and acts healthy as fuck. Besides, pot has never killed anyone

  • @Randlor not true....pot killed my cousin. so sad.

  • @Randlor

No pot never killed anyone.Only brain cells

  • @Randlor I hope he reaches 100, it´s posible half of my old family did.

  • @Randlor Damn... you just jinxed him!! hahahahaha ~KK

  • @Randlor I wish I could agree (though i DO think Paul's gonna live till he's 90, at least) but pot has killed someone very dear to me.

  • @Randlor Neither has meat, but he seems to be against that!

  • @greenwich1754

Depends on the quantity you eat.

Too much meat can increase chances of cancer/heart problems.

Also, he is against it for the animals sake, not so much for his health.

  • @Randlor haha yes!

  • multibigandy is write...george had lung cancer and paul still does drugs and i tihnk he's gonna die soon...but ringo hs got to be the healthiest of all of them

  • lol for all the people that believed he died in 66, if he really did die and there was a cover up, don't you think that the man who was replacing him would just stop after the beatles? why keep going? what was the point of the whole thing?,,,,so there would be a 4th beatle member....when the beatles were done if the whole story were to be true, the imposter wouldn't keep going on and trying to do better things.

  • @tokestAr420 Some people are just retarded...

  • BLACK RINGO YAY!!!!

  • @orchestrateddeath LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

  • @orchestrateddeath a BLINGO!! hahah oh SNL.....

  • @1021779 thats the SAME THING I WAS THINKING!!!!

  • blurred videos

  • Paul was killed by a turtle falling on his head in 1967, and George was killed in 1991 while he was singing at a concert in Iraq during Desert Storm. Ringo was also killed in 2003 when somebody dropped boiling McDonald's coffee on him and gave him a heart attack. Only John is still alive and he's married to someone called Yoko, a beautiful blonde with blue eyes.

  • hahahaha

  • @Cellsolid lmao

  • Thanks for making my day. I laughed so hard I cried! What an incredibly funny bunch of BS. Love it!

  • As smart as the beatles were i don't think they could have pulled off a stunt like replacing paul mccartney. And it's almost impossible that they'd find a guy that looked like him and played the bass, piano, guitar, violin AND had the ability to write the songs he did with wings. END OF

  • END OF? end of what story teller?

  • dude its like this john died in 1980 because this wacko killed him and george died in 2001 because of cancer

  • wats the really story behind the beattle scandal about the Paul McCartney death in 1966?

  • @pptripulantesiempre It's a bunch of baloney. Paul McCartney is still alive, and is the REAL Beatle. I love you Paul!

  • 6nikola9 has a documentary about the Paul is dead fiasco on his uploads. It's pretty interesting.

  • @pptripulantesiempre the Beatles did that to just make money but it is funny to see all of the messages

  • dont really know tough.. The Beatles is full of mystery.. but, some of the info says that it's just for commercial purposes..

  • Paul is still alive dude ;) John and George have died RIP both of them

Paul and Ringo are still making songs. And Paul and Ringo were both at this place to inforce the Beatles Rock Band :D

  • Great performance!!!!

  • krusty is just a conspiracy believer

  • his hair is soo fluffy i wanna touch it lol

  • hey man hes a legendary guy the beatles were the best..they did it all..everything since is Beatles -influenced as they were first/ etc

  • Yeah and you're just a replacement worstkrusty faul.

  • he didnt die in 66 are u high??

  • He lost his life in 66 This is the replacement now that he has aged

  • Bullshit

  • ok if u think that paul died in 66 then who was on top of apple corps studio playing the guitar ?? They would have told us that anyway

  • dumb ass, he is still alive, and he was in a band called wings and now he's doing a tour

  • No he didn't. The Beatles broke up in 69 or something and he's still goin. John and George are the ones that died. R.I.P.

  • John and George are dead? You gotta be kidding me! How did this happen? When? Who? How will we ever survive the loss? Imagine the worlds confusion when this gets out! What ever will we do?

  • are you stupid?

  • john died in 1980 and george dies in like 2000 or something

  • he died in 2001 because of cancer :(

  • the video quality blows

  • Paul sem o resto dos The beatles é uma merda

  • W! PAUL

  • i goot a go to one of these

  • Fan is blowing his hair and he has not dyed it !

    thats it? Stupid! :)

  • wow what the bloody hell happend Paul use to own now he got a weird haircut(only in the 90's i suppose) AND LOST HIS AWESOME BRITHIS ACCENT THAT MADE HIM OWN

  • Well, the Beatles were notorious for their ability to sing in just about any way needed for the song. As Paul got older he slowly lost this ability, he spent so long singing in an American blues fashion like most of his later work that it became his work. it's good to know he can still do the voice for hey jude :D

  • Unfortunately, as the Beatles are not immortal and immune to aging as we all wish they would be, they lose some of their vocal flair along the years, as previously stated, but it's good to know even then they sing just as good.

  • woah! his voice almost sounds the same back when he was younger.

  • good, but nothing compares to all of the beatles together =(

  • 2001, i believe. it was lung cancer.

  • Where's John and George?

  • johns dead and George is dead john died of a gun shot and George died of cancer

  • wow it said 1993, Beatles broke up in 1970 kinda sad that you actually asked that

  • WTF where is ringo?!

  • he lost his singing "accent"...

  • It's not wriTER, It's writAH.

  • Paul is one of my idols. :D

  • drummer fucked up the begining

  • good... but just dosnt seem right

  • This just don't seem right to me.

  • Aww, Paul's saying Rider instead of Writer =-(

  • Great song... great vocal performance under windy conditions...but I really hate the 80-s 90-s use of "guitar Chorus" effects. Yuck. Check out Rusty Anderson playing it in recent live shows... that tone rocks.

  • Ex-cel-lent!

    Thanks for sharing.

I had no idea that he covered Paperback Writer post Wings.

  • Is it really covering it if he originally wrote it? :P

  • and then God created Paul......

  • Poor video quality but the sound is great. Macca rules!

  • Sweet.

  • this is wierder sounding like without everybody in the beatles and it sounds rock n rollish (more rock n rollish) like i dont know it just sounds very different

  • I find it funny how much more complicated that drum set looks compared to ringos

  • ya seriously i think because thers a tamborine attached to it lol

  • '93's haircut

  • you mean long in the backsides? that´s more like a 70´s thing

  • i mean the whole thing...look for george harrison at the same year

  • It was probably great live, the audio on here is shit

  • This is nice. The things I don't like are the lead guitar tone and the harmonies.

That guitar sound is crappy! The harmonies sound like they're straining to reach the notes the way John and George did so easily. No one can match they're singing abilities on stage. Nobody! And they didn't have any newfangled stage monitors either.

  • What was the date of this concert?

  • I meant exact date. I think I knew it was 1993 due to the title. Duh. No need. I know it now.

  • lol

  • good song!! viva paul!

  • agreed not his best perfourmence

  • cant wait to see him at coachellla

  • findingusernamesucks your right its a bad cover. Of someone who should know it inside out.

  • Paul McCartney, one of the biggest genuises in music, such a legend!

  • ist und bleibt ein Genie!!!!!

  • Ja!!!!!!!!!!

  • ya du hast recht,

  • this doesnt have the raw power and energy that the original has

  • bravo..

    :)

  • one of my favorite beatles songs

  • this is great. absolutely great.

  • at leat yoko ono isnt singing.....

  • lol

  • lol do people really she is a good singer?? sriously

  • She isn't a very good singer but a lot of her songs are good and she is a GREAT vocalist (meaning her screaming on the Plastic Ono Album and similar works) . . . you don't have to agree but her style is grand.

  • One of the best songs he performed with the others back in the 60s. total mind blower!

  • buen video

  • its called having his voice change...

  • it's not just that he got older he's doing different stuff that show his stylings have changed . . . If he it was just that his voice was tired and old I wouldn't have said anything . . .

  • It's called playing your own song the way you want to play it. Finding...if they did it this way on the original record and 40 years later did it any other way, you would say it isn't right because of the way YOU are USED TO HEARING IT. I doubt if you thought of that though.

  • Wow wow don't tell me what I think. I never said I didn't still like the song but if it was recorded this way originally I wouldn't like the studio version as much. I just don't like his 90s pop vocal expression here.

p.s. Don't act as if you are smarter than someone (ex.: "I doubt if you thought of that though.") because people who are less kind than me will just use those words in some other post against you . . . in short you're just setting yourself up for someone to rip you a new one.

  • Someone beat this guy bloody.

  • hahaha what a jerk

hes much older now hes never gonna sound like he did on his 20's there is just no way

his energy has faded and the marijuana has worn away

Im just glad that paul is still doing what he loves and i really enjoy this song

  • I already stated that I wasn't talking about the age in his voice . . . but this is the last time Ima comment on this because none of you can see it so it's no use in discussing it.

  • Well it's his to cover and charge to hear him do so ,so I guess he wins not you.

  • I don't think I said I win, I wouldn't do that,(though it's been a long time since I was at this page) so maybe I did say that to be difficult. However, it still sounds like a bad cover so I think both of us, Me and Macca, lose. Though, I don't ever remember competing, just sharing my opinion.

  • ur a motherfucker who should go cry to his mommy because paul mccartney sounds like a cover.

  • my mommys dead but it is true that this sounds like a bad cover

  • It's amazing what shit people will believe these days.

  • Yep, go Billy Shepherd. Orbandsceptre27, have a look at Shea stadium concert '65. Billy Shepherd's first and only live performance for the Beatles. Wonder where Paul was that they had to use the sub? Maybe on a bender somewhere. The fact that they got away with this must have given them the confidence to try it full time when Paul actually died in '67.

  • napintas latta kabsat

  • He still sounds the same hes missing 3 ppl to play on this solo....oh yeah Ringo,John and George

  • um no

  • that conspiracy theory is bogus... you can't replace a musical genius with a lookalike...
