Not saying that 90's BTCC wasn't good racing, but why did all you show was the crashes? Crashes are an unfortunate part of racing, not the main focus.

Close racing, packed grids, and great drivers who aren't afraid to take risks and get stuck in. More excitement in a single race of the BTCC than in a whole season of F1. Long live the BTCC... the 90s was the golden era, but it's still great today. Fantastic video.

British and World touring cars needs to switch back to modified production cars NOW.

Its still quite entertaining to be fair, but the cars are essentially identical with different shell on now. The beemers are still RWD ofc, but the days of the E30s etc were the golden age imo.

@gnark1ll1us Not quite! I'm 19 and still want the FINA BMWs racing the Vauxhall cavaliers, carltons, toyotas, the lot! The 90s was most definitely the golden age for touring cars. Real power and handling unlike the scalextric cars of today.

Rule change, from SuperTouring to BTC class, you know, From Mondeos, Vectras, 406's etc down to Astras, 307's, Civic etc. From that point on, BTCC hasnt been as exciting!

Is it me or am i just getting old ? touring cars was so good to watch and support back in early 90's. used to Love this so much but now find it hard to get involved... in the 90's we had all the main makes of motor racing there arse off and a good mix of privates too .... will anyone ever see a VOLVO racing estate ????? or a race like cleland and soper exchanging door handles ? great vid BTw and thanks for reading my rant

Great video, this was my favourite era for Touring Cars, they had some real battles back then ... I love the old Cavaliers, John Cleland won the btcc championship in '95 with one :)
