i have flown northwest once many years ago; but the last 2 years i flew air tran; their prices sometimes cannot be beat; there a nice airline. not a negative thing to say about them. i would definatly recommend.
no, is Midwest Airlines ( until july when they turn in all 717's to Mexicana Airlines) and also Hawaiian Airlines. From them AirTran is the biggest operator.
yeah except for the ramp people who actually move and accuratly places gates... I WISH fsx was this good... given all the stuff done with graphics these days I wonder why the hell they are lagging so far behind.
I go to KSTL ( Lambert St.Louis International Airport)at least once every two months with my grandma. We get on Metro Link from Shrewsbury to the airport. KSTL RULZ ALL
Well both engines should never be turned off prior to arriving at the gate or parking postion. Now since gas is high the use of APU is frowned apon by airlines. That is the only way the pilot can turn both engines off before arriving at the gate is to use the APU. That wastes too much fuel to use for no good reason.
how many carry ons can u have on board air tran im flying with them in 20 days to atlanta??

that's right it is the GPU ( Ground Power Unit )
luvgirlsfeet 3 years ago
Ah ok, it´s that like a GPU?
CapIto 3 years ago
The cable is for electrical power supply which in turn allows the pilot to proceed with engine shut down.
stoeger40 3 years ago
Pilot needs external power to kill the engine? I have been on aircraft where one was shut down during taxi to the gate...
Kopihucky 3 years ago
No, it's just a gate procedure to hook up an external power supply prior to shutdown for interior lighting, climate control, galley operations, etc.
stoeger40 3 years ago

Very good vid. I really like this kind of videos showing the movements around the plane.
One Question, what´s that cable connected for?
Saludos!
