Echo the dolphin is one of those game si remembered from child hood that really hipnotized me. I don't know why i liked it but i just did. Talk about innocence. I hope they make a live action movie that completly ruins the games. "US Navy ordinance desposal dolphin gets caught in a time warp and is fated to use everything he learned to save the Universe!" That is an epic movie waiting to happen!!

Ecco was the first game I ever played that taught me to appreciate the music of games. Say all the negative things about Ecco, but never, EVER insult the music.

The ecco series on the sega genesis has some of the best music I've heard from the 16 bit era. Great job recording the songs, very high quality, but there are instruments/sounds in some of the songs that I don't hear on this comp that I do hear in the game. Otherwise, great compilation~

Im not sure,but i think it was in the level where ecco was swiming trough al the watertubes in the sky.

My Sega Genesis Original Version blew up on me and caught fire for some reason... So I put the fire out and kept it as a memento this entire time, I got it at 5 years old XD I'm 20 now, I still use my Sega Genesis 3 I got in 2001, I beat the last level just today, I am still crying, It was WORTH the years of heartache and torture, cause the music and beauty outnumbers the hardship this game brings..

@InfurnusChaotix I played this game on my son's Sega that I bought him for Christmas about 15 yrs ago. Got to the last level where Echo goes through that LONG maze at the end and fights the evil octopus. I went through the maze prolly a thousand times and could do it today from memory. lol. Fought the evil octopus at the end, but never beat it...only managed to get one of the eyes shot out. Please tell me how it ends. Thanks in advance.

@AXenoification That octopus is the thing that ate your friends,it's called the vortex queen.If you're a safe person, take the eyes out first then take out the mouth.The eyes can be spammed with sonar but watch out for those ball things that come out because they'll hurt you.But if you want to do it crazy take out the mouth first.There is a drone that keeps spawning if you go to the top.The mouth comes out only with charging, and it has 2 extras.After all 3 are done charge the top of the head 5

Gosh... The first song on this video still plays in my head sometimes. I've played this game A LOT when I was a kid. It was incredibly hard but it's my all-time favorite game. lol Just bummed that I don't have the Sega Genesis and all of its games anymore now :(

My favorite music is Jurassic Beach. These prehistoric levels are really beautiful, my best part in the game. Ice Zone is a beautiful track, and Time Travel is also fascinating.
