What is everyone completely bashing her? Did do you guys even listen to her voice? Did anyone consider that this is in fact NOT Indian Classical, but a fusion with folk influences? in fact, a bunch of tabla soloing would sound pretty terrible with this mix. Get over yourselves.

This girl looks more Pakistani than Indian. Beautifull voice, but the tabla is out of tune. Very bad sitting position, my advice would also be to bend that right leg, but I guess that's difficult with tight blue jeans. Watch Rimpa Siva and learn.

Actually, she's quite terrible; there are five year old boys that kill her playing. If you want to see a real Tabla Girl, look up Rimpa Siva...she actually does play as well as a man...and most of her videos are when she was 12!!!

sing an play is not difficult , depend what you play and what you sing, in anyway this is not a tabla playing, but a beatiful model girl whith nice voice who want show tabla for commercial purpose..

I don't know if she has played good tabla or not, but the singing, though in tune, was pathetic. Wat was that alaap that she was taking? C'mon, u don't have to pretend to be an Arabic singer or something like that if u have a tabla in front of u.

oh and the tabla playing is not clean in some parts of the song. and the choice of phrasing in the introduction has nothing memorable to it. it's just a flurry of notes.

yes it's hard to play tabla and sing at the same time. but this is a debut for her. she should be putting her best foot forward. not being experimental right off the bat. although the arrangement is pretty nice, the vocal inflections unravel the song's groove. result: falls a bit short of being good.
